UNDENIABLE ANXIETY: BOLD ACTION – Wednesday, January 20, 2021

The planetary patterns reflect what is happening in our world. It is never more clear than it is today. The day starts with the Moon still in Aries suggesting a strong desire for action. You may feel impatient and impulsive.

At 1:56 PM EST, the Moon enters Ta**us reflecting our desire to slow down, quiet down, and be still. The Moon must sometimes take a back seat as the planetary patterns overwhelm her intent.

After a full six months of Mars in Aries, he entered Ta**us on January 6. Ta**us is a Venus rules sign that wants quiet and beauty. Mars wants action and risk and is not happy at all to be in Ta**us. You can picture him as a truck stuck in the mud (Ta**us is after all Earth), plodding forward, one step at a time. At 3:37 PM EST Mars’ plodding motion plows directly into Uranus, expect the unexpected. This brings a picture of that truck plowing into a landmine. This is not the symbolism we want to see on this Inauguration Day.

When Mars and Uranus come together they begin a new cycle of bold action for reform and/or revolutionary action. This is not the reflection of a peaceful transition of power. However, it does suggest strong action forward once we get past the explosiveness of the moment.

The Ta**us Moon is working hard to bring a sense of hopeful calm to the table. She will do what she can. For our part, please join me in holding a space of calm support for our democracy.

At 4:02 PM EST, the Moon comes to her Last Quarter phase, bringing difficulties and opportunities. Pay attention and keep your eyes open for opportunities. The choices and decisions made now are a pivot point into the future. Please take the high road.

DECISIONS WILL HAVE TO WAIT – Wednesday, December 9, 2020

This may be one of those days where focus evades you and making decisions seems beyond your ability. With the Moon in diplomatic, pleasure-seeking Libra, you may find yourself focused on trying to make everyone else happy. This can make it hard to make decisions for yourself at all. You may think that making others happy is what you want but once you try to actually finalize a decision you may find yourself stuck at the crossroads.

Adding to this challenge we come to a square aspect from the Sun to Neptune at 2:40 PM EST. The Sun forms a challenging square aspect to Neptune twice each year as it travels around the zodiac. You can expect to feel its reflection in your life and see it in your environment for a day or two.

You may experience this as a powerful desire to escape or put a rosy hue to the reality of your circumstances. You may find yourself drifty, dreamy, tired, distracted, and unfocused. You may feel ready for your first glass of wine by early afternoon. Listen to music, take a nap, write a poem, or meditate instead. Let yourself dream. Neptune turns retrograde in the wee hours of the morning. Neptune remains retrograde for many months at a time and has will remain retrograde until November 28, 2020. The only real significance here is to notice if you are being called back to a spiritual practice from your past. If so, pay attention. There is more for you to learn within that practice. If you notice yourself falling back into old unhealthy patterns find a support person that can help you not to stumble.

At 8:33 AM EDT, the Moon enters Leo. You may feel warmer, more playful, and exuberant. You may find yourself exhibiting great radiance and generosity as you seek approval and crave applause. Draw upon your innate self-confidence with imagination, enthusiasm, and creative self-expression. Avoid infantile acting out.

REEVALUATE YOUR THINKING; MERCURY RETROGRADE - Thursday, June 18, 2020

With the multitude of challenges surrounding us, it may be difficult to maintain perspective. Venus has been retrograde since May 13th, demanding that each of us examine our personal values. If you are paying attention you are learning a great deal about yourself.

Today Mercury turns retrograde (12:59 AM EDT) as well, challenging you to understand how to articulate and process all that you are learning. Mercury will remain retrograde until July 12th. It is best to slow down and remain steady in the face of these difficult lessons. This Mercury retrograde is in the sign of Cancer, look to the house that holds Cancer in your chart to see where you must carefully evaluate your thinking.

While Mercury is retrograde don't begin new projects and make sure your communications are crystal clear. This is a powerful time to get caught up on projects that have been languishing on a back burner since early March.

With both Mercury and Venus retrograde (Venus turns direct on June 25th), seek clarity on your values and how best to articulate them. Resolve to do better in supporting those who have less of a voice than your own.
