Dave is in the final phase of his fat loss macrocycle, using the Heavy Light Method:
6 reps @ 5010 tempo
Rest 10 seconds
15 reps @ 2010 tempo
Rest 3 minutes
5 total rounds
Paired with chinups and rows performed the same way, multi joint movements targeting the same muscle group.
We start heavy and slow to recruit high threshold motor units. Then we shift to a lighter, faster load to increase time under tension and let metabolic stress do its job.
