TOMORROW!

Thanks to all who joined us for the LM CONNECTS presentation of ‘What Teens are REALLY saying - the latest results of our drug and alcohol survey’ which was made possible through our coalition of community members. If you were unable to make the live presentation, a video of the event is now available on our website, as well as helpful tips to foster communication with your kids about drugs and alcohol use.

WHAT’S NEXT? We invite you to join us for our follow-up program, ‘Developing Your Family’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.’ Find out how to foster communication with your kids around this topic and create your own family’s set of expectations towards drug and alcohol use. Join LMCCC’s Drs. Alan Dienstag and Katie Sawyer for insights and helpful discussion on Nov 13, 9-10:15am at HMX.

Earlier this week, we were thrilled to host our colleagues from the MUFSD Social Work and School Psychology departments for Superintendent’s Conference Day!

Together, we spent the day in thoughtful connection and camaraderie - sharing insights and experiences through supportive conversation and creative group activities.

It was a wonderful occasion to remember that we are BETTER TOGETHER! 💙

Red Ribbon Week: Promoting Healthy Choices

This week, students across the district took part in Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s largest drug prevention campaign! This year’s theme — “Life Is a Puzzle, Solve It Drug Free” — encouraged students to think about how each choice they make helps build the bigger picture of a healthy, successful life.

Throughout the week, students engaged in hands-on activities, including a daily hidden duck hunt 🦆, where those who found a rubber duck featuring a Red Ribbon Week fact received a prize from Student Assistance Counselor Nicolette Loaiza. On Wednesday’s “Wear Red Day,” students and staff showed their support by dressing in red, and members of the Prevention. Awareness. Wellness. (PAW) Club hosted a meaningful lunchtime activity outside the Tiger’s Den to help spread awareness and school spirit.

Stay tuned for more Red Ribbon Week highlights in tomorrow’s Tiger Tracks Newsletter! 🐯
