🍁 Happy Thanksgiving, Mamou & our surrounding communities! 🍁

I just want to take a minute to wish every single one of you a warm, happy Thanksgiving with your families.

I’m truly thankful for the support y’all have given me over the years. This community has stood behind me through every stage of growth, and because of that, I’ve been able to keep expanding and bringing more services right here to our hometown. I don’t ever take that for granted.

I also want to say how thankful I am for the therapy team I get to work with every day. In this kind of work, everything we do comes down to the hearts and skills of the people showing up for our patients — and I’m blessed to share this place with some of the most genuine, caring, and hard-working people you’ll ever meet. They don’t work for me… we work side-by-side. We’re in this together, giving our best to every person who walks through the door, or we walk through their door. They make this clinic what it is, and I’m grateful for every single one of them.

It makes me proud to see Mamou growing — new small businesses opening, familiar faces stepping into new things, and our whole community continuing to move forward. We have something special here, and I’m proud to be part of it.

Thank you for believing in us, trusting us, and supporting everything we do.

I want to take a moment to shine a light on someone very special — my teammate and friend, Sonya Christopher. 🇺🇸

Sonya proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, where she was one of the first women to integrate into the Signalman Rating back in 1986. She served aboard ships all over the world and earned multiple commendations before being honorably discharged. Her story was recently featured in the Bonnes Nouvelles Evangeline, and if you read it, you’ll see just how much of a trailblazer she truly is.

But beyond her military service, Sonya has been a part of my life and my work for a long time — we’ve been working together since 2008. I’ve seen firsthand the same strength, dedication, and compassion she carried in the Navy shine through in the way she cares for her patients and advocates for her community. She’s also a leader in the VFW and was honored with a Quilt of Valor in 2024.

I’m so proud to call her part of our therapy family and even prouder to call her my friend. Please help me celebrate Sonya — drop a thank you or a 🇺🇸 in the comments to show her just how much her service and her heart mean to all of us.

CORA MANUEL THERAPY SERVICES LLC is expanding, and we’re looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our therapy team!
This position involves helping with patients, assisting therapists with equipment and exercise setup, light office duties, and supporting our growing outpatient physical therapy clinic.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is dependable, punctual, and takes work seriously
• Can assist with both therapy and administrative tasks
• Has great communication and people skills
• Can multitask and stay organized
• Is willing to learn and grow as our clinic expands

Availability:
Full-time hours — must be reliable and available to work clinic hours Monday–Friday.
Because this is a patient-care role, consistent attendance is required.

Not many people Mr. CJ’s age can perform a single leg stance for 30 seconds only 8 weeks after a knee replacement, but he has defied all odds! Mr. CJ has excelled in therapy and is being discharged today. He was so happy that he brought us some yummy treats! We will miss you Mr. CJ!

🚨 Vertigo/Dizziness
MUST watch!!!

One of our favorite things to treat!!! We have very competent therapists in the home health setting and the clinic setting. We treat this pretty much on a weekly basis. We get called for walk-ins who have a sudden onset of vertigo. You do not need an order to come see us!!!! Drop a comment if we’ve ever treated you for this. It’s pretty amazing!
