13 years ago our beloved home and the surrounding area was devastated by Superstorm Sandy. The damage may have destroyed so much of what we loved but the foundation of our community became even stronger when everyone came together to rebuild. This storm was a very trying time for our members as many spent days even weeks away from their families, answering the call for help and putting themselves in the way of danger. The emergency services community received an overwhelming amount of support from several NJ counties and even out of state agencies. We will always remember this storm and remain thankful and proud of the community support.

This morning, we were honored to be invited to participate in Make a Difference Day with the students from McKinley School as they held a walk-a-thon to raise money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. These incredible young students raised over $20,000 for such a meaningful cause! We are truly grateful to have been included and proud to support them in their mission to make a difference.
