🌿 Sunday Wellness Tip
Based on what I’m seeing in my patients, many people have low levels of Vitamin D, often in the range of 20–30.
Vitamin D is not just a vitamin—it acts as a hormone and influences more than 2,000 genes in the body.
While sun exposure and diet (such as salmon, sardines, egg yolks, mushrooms, and fortified dairy) are important, they are often not enough to reach optimal levels.
Vitamin D metabolism also depends on proper function of the liver, kidneys, and overall body balance.
That’s why supplementation is often necessary.
Vitamin D3 (around 5,000 IU daily) is commonly used, while Vitamin D2 (50,000 IU weekly) is another option often covered by insurance.
đź’ˇ Take Vitamin D with food for better absorption, and check your levels at least once a year.
