From residents delivering pies to first responders to organizing fun-filled Family Days on campus, they pour so much heart into creating meaningful experiences for our residents.

These activities remind our residents that they still have so much to give, that they’re still part of a larger community, and that they matter.

To our Life Enrichment team: thank you for helping our residents not just live here, but truly belong here.

This holiday season, be fire aware.

At our most recent Family Day, Birmingham Green hosted a Fire Safety presentation to talk about the major causes of holiday fires in homes, offices, and assisted living communities: unattended cooking, candles and open flames, overloaded outlets, space heaters, and dry holiday décor.

As you decorate and gather this season, take a moment to check your kitchen, outlets, heaters, and decorations—no matter where you are.

A few simple precautions can help protect the people and places you love most.

With 30+ years of clinical and operational leadership across senior living, hospitals, skilled nursing, home health, hospice, and rehabilitation, Adriane brings a deep commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for older adults. In her role, she will lead daily operational and nursing services with a strong focus on resident-centered care and service innovation.

For many seniors, the holidays don’t feel festive—they feel isolating. Help prevent chronic loneliness for the seniors in your life:

You can help soften those feelings:

- Call regularly, not just on the holiday itself
- Send everyday photos and short videos so they feel part of your life
- Mail simple cards or notes “just because”
- Invite an older neighbor or relative over for coffee, cocoa, or a small holiday ritual

Small, consistent gestures say: You’re not forgotten. You still matter.

We’re hosting a Holiday Car Parade on Saturday, December 13, and we’re looking for festive cars to join the fun.

Decorate your car with lights, garland, or your favorite holiday theme and join our drive-through parade around campus as we wave, smile, and share the season with our residents.

Arrival for participants: 10:15 AM
Parade starts: 11:00 AM

Registration is required and closes December 10.

Home is more than a place, it’s a feeling we strive to create for every resident at Birmingham Green.

This Thanksgiving, we’re reflecting with gratitude on the people who make that possible: our devoted team members who lead with compassion; our community partners who stand with us; our sponsors and donors whose generosity keeps our mission strong; and the families who entrust us with their loved ones. Most of all, we’re thankful for our residents, whose lives and legacies inspire us daily.
