We’re excited to share that Birmingham Green was invited to attend the 2026 Global Brain Health and Longevity Strategy Meeting held last week in Washington, DC, in the Russell Senate Office Building.

Hosted by Social Impact Partners, the meeting focused on five key areas:
- Innovation insights from SIP Brain Health Innovation Olympics
- Nutrition and equity across the lifespan
- Advances in AI, quantum, and early detection
- Corporate leadership in workplace well-being and consumer product offerings
- Brain capital and industry collaboration are shaping economic and societal resilience

The ice storm and Arctic freeze of recent weeks have limited our residents' ability to take long walks outside, but heart health doesn’t pause in the winter. At Birmingham Green, we offer our senior residents options for appropriate movement every day, including a gentle morning exercise class and afternoon Zumba for anyone who wants to move a little more. ❄️

Join us in wishing a hearty congratulations to our twenty-two nurses who recently completed the Vohra Wound Certification Program!

While wound care is always important, it is especially important during the winter, as the cold, dry air often damages seniors' fragile skin and leads to many small cuts. We are grateful to our team for obtaining this valuable certification and supporting the independence and quality of life of our residents.

February is American Heart Month, and in senior living, heart health shows up in more than vitals and medications; it shows up at every meal. For our residents, meals are part of their care plan.

Our Nutritionist and Dietitian team builds a meal plan that always focuses on supporting energy, hydration, blood pressure, and day-to-day steadiness.
