The Lotus and The Light Metaphysical Center is based in Manassas, VA. We offer a range of metaphysical services including Astrology, Reiki, Life Coaching, Hypnosis, Psychic Readings and more.
We also offer workshops and classes in Meditation, Reiki, Access Bars, Tarot and a wide variety of metaphysical topics.
If you are not in the Virginia area, we offer intuitive readings and classes via phone or Zoom meetings.
The center was created by Uma Alexandra Beepat, a powerful mystic, intuitive and natural healer since her birth. Uma was born in London, England and grew up in the Caribbean and South America before moving to the United States. Her unique life journey has grown her into the strong, powerful force she is today.
âI began my work originally as Lotus Signature Massage in 2009 because I was a massage therapist. Eventually I changed the name to Lotus Wellness Center because I was also certified to offer reflexology sessions, meditation and yoga classes, reiki and reiki classes.
After ten years of successfully running Lotus Wellness Center and making it the leading and largest metaphysical center in the DMV area, I am moving in a new direction. Starting all over again if you will. When most people are trying to get their first business off the ground, I am now on my fourth!
I changed the name to the Lotus and The Light Metaphysical Center because of divine intervention.
In 2009, I had a meetup group called Manassas Reiki, Yoga and Meditation. I was doing well and thriving. A woman moved in to my neighborhood and created her group as Manassas Reiki and Meditation. My followers got confused and some joined her group because they thought it was mine. I didnât get mad at her, in fact, I went to a meetup of hers to meet her and liked her. We ended up being friends! But the fact remained that our names were too similiar so I prayed and meditated on it and Spirit brought me the name, âThe Lotus and The Lightâ.
The Lotus is special to me because it is the national flower of my country (Guyana). We call it the Victorian Lily. I grew up seeing lotus flowers everywhere and it engrained in my soul. I see a lotus and I go into a semi-trance. It is healing and representative of my life story.
The Light came from my Guru initiated name. My Spirtual name as bequested to me by my Guru is Uma which means the Luminous. I am here to bring light to the darkness and to help people find a way out of their darkness.
As we end one decade (2009-2019), it was time to end Lotus Wellness Center as I no longer offer massages or wellness services. As we begin a new decade (2020-2030), I am excited to showcase my work as a metaphysical artist and spiritual leader.
