From my newsletter this morning:
Dear friends,
I have good news and bad news:
Bad news: Winter is more than halfway over!!
Good news: Winter is already more than halfway over! Parking is getting easier every day at our office!!
Other things to celebrate:
The Year of the Snake to the Year of the Fire Horse
Today, February 17th marks the Chinese New Year! The transition from the Year of the Snake into the Year of the Fire Horse marks a shift from inner wisdom to purposeful movement.
Snake energy invites reflection, discernment, and release. It's a time of shedding what no longer serves and listening closely to our inner guidance. Much of its work happens quietly, beneath the surface.
The Fire Horse brings momentum, courage, and vitality. It asks us to act on what we now know moving forward with confidence, integrity, and heart. This is energy that supports aligned action rather than impulsive change. Together, this transition reminds us that clarity comes before movement. What we released during the Snake year creates space for the Fire Horse to carry us forward with strength, freedom, and intention.
Lent
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of Lent. This year, I'll be observing the season with greater intention. As part of my Lenten practice, I'll be stepping away from social media (as well as alcohol and coffee!) to create more space for prayer, fasting, and study.
I will be out of the office from Monday 2/23 - Friday 2/27. This pause is not about absence, but about making room for what truly nourishes my heart. I look forward to returning on Monday, 3/2 with renewed clarity and deeper faith.
Other news:
After much thought and reflection, I've decided to step away from teaching yoga. This has not been an easy decision; our Mondays and Fridays together have truly meant the world to me. I'm beyond grateful for the loyalty, trust, and energy you've brought to class week after week.
To make sure my students have plenty of time to use their existing class passes, I'll continue teaching through the final classes on May 18 and May 22.
Thank you to my treasured yoga friends for being such a special part of this chapter of my life. I'm incredibly grateful for the time we've shared on the mat. Practicing with you has been an absolute honor, and I'll always carry our community with me.
As always, I am so thankful for your continued support. I am truly blessed to be so busy, and that is because of your trust in me for your massage therapy, yoga, and functional training practices.
I will be holding each of you in gratitude as we move into this new season. I pray it will be one of renewal, courage, and grace for us all.
In Health,
Stephanie
