CMC’s birthing unit, The Mom’s Place, was the first hospital in the country to have a neonatal unit based on "couplet care.” Our nationally-accredited Breast Care Center was the first in the state to use contrast enhanced mammography and SAVI SCOUT® localization for breast surgery. With primary care practices that care for the very young to the young at heart and our dedication to community outreach programs, CMC is helping to foster a healthier community, everyday.

We’re evaluating new surgical lights and booms—the equipment that helps our surgical teams perform complex procedures with precision and efficiency.

Why does this matter?
Advanced lighting and positioning systems support our caregivers by improving visibility and workflow in the operating room. These upgrades are part of our ongoing investment in technology that enhances the patient experience and supports our clinical teams.

Stay tuned as we continue building the future of surgical care at CMC!

Chest pain feels different for everyone — it can be a dull ache or a sudden, sharp stabbing sensation. Regardless of how it feels, it’s important to take chest pain seriously. If the discomfort sticks around, it could be a sign of a more serious, potentially life-threatening condition like a heart attack or a blood clot.

Last year across our broader HCA Healthcare network, our emergency rooms saw nearly 838,000 visits related to cardiac complaints. You know your body better than anyone. If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts. And if your chest pain is severe or accompanied by any of the symptoms shown here, seek emergency care immediately.
