If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan then your traditional red/white/blue Medicare card is inactive

If you are approaching medicare age I would suggest you keep your traditional medicare and pick a plan G policy that picks up as a secondary We are in the final days of the Medicare annual enrollment period.
Most advantage plans are not advantageous for the patient.

We have had several patients with a new diagnosis of cancer this year that need to see a Vanderbilt specialist but they cannot because they have a policy that is not acceptable. We have a few patients that needed extensive rehab after a stroke that has been severely limited by advantage plans

Traditional Medicare is taken nearly every hospital and specialist without prior authorizations needed.
Please reconsider giving up your traditional Medicare plan. I hate to see my patients get shorted. Just my 2 cents- Dawn
