Disciplining toddlers and preschoolers is all about finding the right tool for the moment. While distraction and redirection are great first steps, a time-out can be a helpful consequence in these 4 situations:
1️⃣ Dangerous actions (like running into the street)
2️⃣ Harmful behavior (like hurting others)
3️⃣ Breaking a clear family rule
4️⃣ Not following directions after a warning

The goal: A quick reset to help your child understand which behaviors are never okay.
