Big news! The Logan's Giving Fund for Autism is open for the Spring 2026 grant season.

Logan's Giving Fund provides support to families by directly paying their children’s service providers for services and treatments they would otherwise not be able to afford. Resource awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 and help offset costly co-pays that accumulate over the year.

The Fund supports autism services or treatments such as Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy overseen by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, as well as speech, occupational, and music therapy, and social skills groups.

"In June 1958, my mom brought me to Crotched Mountain to meet with a room full of doctors.

I was immediately placed in full length braces from the waist down and I was put in a wheelchair. I took off exploring in the chair and had never before experienced such freedom. I went down the corridor and saw my mom was sitting on a bench waiting for me to return. I am sure she could see that I was having a great time.

She told me she was leaving, but that I was going to stay so I could learn to walk."

We are excited to welcome our newest CFI Case Manager to the Crotched Mountain Community Care team: Leslie Conway! As a case manager, Leslie will be supporting adults with disabilities, chronic illness, and others complex needs, helping them remain independent and living in their own homes.

Great to have you aboard Leslie!

It may be chilly outside now but summer is on the horizon. What better way to embrace the warmth than a day of sun, sand, and friendly competition on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee at the Seventh Annual Volleyball Classic, happening on June 6 at the AKWA Marina Yacht Club in Laconia, NH.

This day is a highlight of the year! Music, food, and beach volleyball for all ages and skills. Even better? Proceeds support Logan's Giving Fund for Autism, which helps families of children with autism afford needed therapy services.

Now that's fun with a purpose!

We are so grateful to Mascoma Bank for their generous grant of $2,000 to support the needs of our Crotched Mountain Community Care clients. These folks we serve - many of whom have disabilities and chronic illnesses - rely on the CFI program and our amazing case managers (who utilize grants like this!) to remain independent in their community and out of nursing homes.

Thank you, Mascoma Bank - you have made an immense impact on the lives of some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

We know it's still snowy and frigid out, but spring is within shouting distance! If you like to be outdoors and use your green thumb to cultivate floral delights, we are always looking for volunteers to help maintain and beautify our Memorial Garden at the entrance to the Accessible Trails in Greenfield.

In honor of pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training, here's a piece of baseball trivia: did you know that one of our closest friends and allies was Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Bill Monbouquette?

Bill pitched for the Red Sox, Tigers, Yankees, and Giants. He was a four-time All-Star and pitched a no-hitter in 1962 as a member of the Red Sox.

For many years, Bill and his wife Josephine supported Crotched Mountain Foundation as both volunteers and leadership donors. Bill passed away in 2015, but his legacy lives on!
