Behind every smooth visit, every answered call, and every moment of reassurance—there’s this team. 🐾

Our veterinary customer service representatives are the friendly faces, steady voices, and compassionate hearts that keep everything moving and everyone supported.

This week we celebrae them—the ones who show up with patience, empathy, and a whole lot of care, every single day. 💙

It can be difficult to comprehend the magnitude of importance or significance of this critical role in our day to day operations and beyond!

This graphic does an wonderful job of peeling back the layers of veterinary receptionists, but it can't effectively communicate how much we value, respect, appreciate, and love our team!

We're so grateful for all of you and all that you do. 💜

They’re the first voice you hear and the first face you see—and often the steady calm in the middle of stressful moments.

Our veterinary receptionists do so much more than answer phones and schedule appointments. They comfort worried pet parents, juggle a fast-paced schedule, keep the hospital running smoothly, and handle every situation with empathy and professionalism.

From managing the daily flow to supporting clients during some of their hardest days, they truly are the backbone of our team. We are so grateful for everything you do, today and every day 💙🐾

Some bunny is on ER duty 🐰💉

Between the floppy ears and those big puppy eyes, we’re diagnosing a serious case of “too cute to handle.”

Don’t worry—our Easter patient is stable, snuggled, and accepting treats as part of the treatment plan.

Whether it’s chocolate mishaps, mystery snacks, or just a little too much holiday excitement, our ER team is here for your pets 24/7—holidays included.

Happy Easter from all of us (and our honorary bunny 🐶🐰💗)

🦨 Skunk Season Reminder!

With warmer weather arriving, skunks are becoming more active around our neighborhoods. Curious pets can sometimes get a little too close for comfort! 🦨

If your dog or cat gets sprayed:
• Keep them outside if possible
• Avoid getting the oils in their eyes or mouth
• Skip the tomato juice — it doesn’t work as well as people think

A mixture of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap can help break down the odor.

If your pet gets sprayed in the eyes, seems lethargic, or ingests skunk spray, give us a call so we can help!

Interesting toxicity!

🚨 Unusual Toxicity Case Alert 🚨

Meet Popi, a 10yo Terrier mix who's curiosity got her in trouble. Popi made the mistake of consuming ~30 apricot kernels (+ charcoal tablets).

The Twist? This wasn't your typical ingestion case.

Within hours: seizures, severe lactic acidosis (lactate was 12!), persistent tachycardia, and neuro signs that didn't add up... until we connected the dots.

🔑 Apricot kernels = CYANIDE

After consulting with several ASPCA Poison Control Toxicologists & sourcing hydroxocobalamin from a human hospital, Popi went from critically seizing to bright & ravenous overnight.

Popi made a complete recovery & went home the next day. Thank you to our criticalists Dr. Kathryn Benavides and Dr. Mary D'Ambrosio for going above and beyond for our patients.💚
