Charlene (Byrd) Collins, age 88 passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at her home. She was born Monday, September 27, 1937 in Manchester, KY to Charlie and Eunice (Sawyers) Byrd. She was a homemaker. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs, CoCo and Gingers.

She is survived by her children: Rosie Caudill, Tommy Collins and wife Susan, Reva Metcalf, Debbie Ho**er and husband Mike, Louise Duff and husband Ronnie, Eugene Collins and wife Brenda, Charles Collins and Renee Cox and Randy Collins and wife Loretta; 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren , 6 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother: John Byrd and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Collins and her parents: Charlie and Eunice Byrd; six siblings: Bill Byrd, Benny Byrd, Millie Brown, Rosetta Lunsford, Helen Mays, Ronnie Byrd and two grandchildren: Chasity Murphy and Jasmine Collins.

Funeral Services for Charlene Collins will be conducted on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Henry Lloyd Deaton will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery in the Collins Fork Community.

Judy Abner, age 62 passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 in London, Kentucky. She was born Wednesday, January 29, 1964 at Manchester, Kentucky to Eula (Davidson) Abner. She was a homemaker and a member of His Amazing Grace Holiness Church.

She is survived by her children: Angela Wolfe and husband Kenney, Brandon Abner and fiancé Ciera Holland, Joseph Vaughn, Chris Abner and wife Darlene, Kendra Abner; and these grandchildren: Mackenzie Wolfe, Desirae Wolfe, Kaydence Abner, Braxtyn Abner, Kyleigh Abner, Emma Abner and Rylan Abner. Also surviving are these brothers and sisters: Helen Abner, Marion Abner, Josephine Stewart, Thelma Hensley and Fred Abner.

She is preceded in death by her mother: Eula Abner and her brother : Bruce Belt and her grandson: Daniel Wolfe.

Bobby Thompson, age 74 passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born Friday, June 8, 1951 at Oneida, Kentucky to Otto and Georgia (Payne) Thompson. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Wanda (Bowling) Thompson and these children: Robbie Thompson and wife Judy and Lisa Ho**er; these grandchildren: Hallie Ho**er and Lucas Thompson and Jarrod Ho**er and wife Jennifer. Also surviving is his brother: Rick Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Otto and Georgia Thompson; his son-in-law: David Ho**er, these siblings: Barbara Jean Thompson, Jeweldean Holland, Ray Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Billy Thompson, and Clifford Thompson.

Hughie Hoskins, age 67, departed this life on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home. He was born on Friday, July 11, 1958 in Clay County, Kentucky to Willie and Marie (Gilbert) Hoskins. He was a coal miner and a member of the Oneida Community Church. Hughie was an avid fisherman and he loved old cars. The love of his life was his granddaughter: Danielle and his great grandson: Re*****on.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Thelma (Northern) Hoskins and one daughter: Amy Henson and husband Darrell; one granddaughter: Danielle Cox and husband Oakley and one great grandson: Re*****on Daryl Cox. Also surviving are these sisters and brothers: Mary Davis, Linda Price, Glenn Hoskins, and Dwight Hoskins.

Billie Jean Lunsford 86 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday February 11, 2026 at 3:25AM at Brown County Health and Rehabilitation in Nashville, In. Billie Jean was the daughter of Thomas (Tom) and Bessie Gross.
She married the love of her life James (Shorty) Lunsford and together they raised 1 son T.J. Lunsford.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her loving husband Shorty and her son T. J., her brothers Samuel, Clinton, Clayton, Paul and Luther. She was also proceeded in death by her sisters Ada Hunter, Fannie Bundy, Burniece White and Delores Gross.

She is survived by 1 brother Harold (Kathy) Gross. Also surviving is her Granddaughter: Candi (Brandon) Lunsford Jones, a Grandson Ryan Lunsford, Great grandchildren Ryan Garrett Hurst and Theomara Jones and 1 Great great grandson Ryker Estep as well as several nieces and nephews.

Billie Jean retired from Delta Faucet where she spent many years working.

After retiring she moved back to Manchester to be closer to her siblings.

She moved back to Indiana in 2020 and resided with her niece Brenda Luken until entering the nursing home in 2024. Billie Jean was an avid reader and also loved working word search books. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping and going out to new places to eat. Her greatest blessing was to have big family dinners and getting to spend time with her family. She was always the life of the party!

Funeral Services for Billie Jean Lunsford will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Bundy Cemetery in the Burning Springs Community.

Elbert Lee Wolfe, age 61 passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, April 14, 1964 in Manchester, Kentucky to Alvin and Bessie (Barrett) Wolfe. He worked for Sun Pools and Spa and was a volunteer at the Burning Springs Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Kenney Wolfe and wife Angela, Jamie Allen and boyfriend Bryan Gilbert, Chuck Henson and wife Misty and Steven Henson and girlfriend Brandi, his step-children: Rachel Maggard and husband Steven, Cody Shepherd and wife Crystal, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the mother of his children: Anna (Mathis) Wolfe and his fiancé: Sheila Snyder. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Paul Barrett, Danny Wolfe, Jessie Barrett, Lottie Hicks and husband Oscar, Buddy Barrett and wife Robin and Glenda Brown and husband Randy.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Alvin and Bessie Wolfe and his grandson: Daniel Wolfe.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Lisa Smith, his sons: Justin Smith and Jayden Smith, his mother: Ellie Mae Smith, his brother: Neal Smith, his sister: Nettie Houston and his nephews: Joshua Houston and Quanah Houston, his mother-in-law: Barbara Smith, brothers-in-law: Brian Smith and Bruce Smith and his sister-in-law: Amanda and Joseph Bryant as well as other nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He was born on Friday, March 20, 1964 in Oneida, Kentucky to James A. and Lela (Allen) Combs. He was retired from Dara Energy and worked for over 20 years at Mid-South Electric as well as being a farmer and a member of the Rockhouse Valley Church.

Sammy Keith Gregory, age 63, of Clay County, Kentucky crossed over into glory on February 5th, 2026. He was born on November 19th, 1962 in London, Kentucky to Danny Lynn and Janiece Keith Gregory.

Sammy was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in 2018 where he faithfully served for decades. He loved the Clay County Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats. He was an avid c**n hunter, fisherman and farmer and thoroughly enjoyed his weekly Marcella’s trip with his buddies. Sammy was unwavering in his character. He treated everyone with the same genuine kindness and was always the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved to cut up and would do anything to make people laugh. Above all else, he loved the Lord and had peace in his salvation through his final days.

He was preceded in death by his father Danny Lynn Gregory, his grandparents Sam and Mary Roberts Gregory and Bryan and Helen S. Keith.

He is survived by his mother, Janiece Keith Gregory, his sister Gina Prewitt (Joe), his daughters Courtney Allen (Jordan), Carrie Deaton (Caleb), and Samantha Gregory. He survived by his 7 grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Audie, Avett, Beau, Brooks, Gideon, Greyson, and Griffen. He also survived by his long-time girlfriend, Willa Dean Brown, and a host of other friends and family.

She was a retired nurse with Professional Home Health Agency. She also worked for Jimmy and Joyce Lewis. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by her husband: Ronnie Brown and one son: Billy Darrell Griffin and wife Sherry; her grandchildren: Kelsey and Amanda Griffin and her great grandchildren: Presley and Hadleigh Griffin. Also surviving is one brother and one sister: Ronnie Ho**er and Terresa Ho**er Bowles.

Also surviving is one sister: Katherine Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jim and Ruth Jones and her sister: Carida Lou Hensley and a special niece: Ruth Amanda Miller.

Funeral services for Velma Hoskins will be Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Antepast Baptist Church of Oneida. Rev. Henry Lloyd Deaton, Rev. Wayne Gibson and Rev. Anthony Hinkle will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Helder Roberts Cemetery in the Fish Trap Community.
