Brenda Roberts, age 76. passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, Ky. She was born on Tuesday, July 12, 1949 in Clay County, Ky to Gilbert and Myrtle (Brumley) Gibbs. She was a homemaker.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children: James David Roberts & wife Angela; these grandchildren: Felicia Roberts, Emily Neff & husband Zachary and Bobby James Roberts; these great-grandchildren: Jace Neff, Brinley Neff, Easton Neff and Kason Adams; several special nieces and nephews: Jeannie Gibbs, Pauline Marion, Donna White and John White; and these special friends: Mike & Brenda Grubb and Katina Burns.

She preceded in death by her parents: Gilbert and Myrtle Gibbs; her husband: Bobby Roberts; these brothers and sisters: Stafford Gibbs, Gettis Gibbs, Leander Gibbs, Hershel Gibbs, Stanley Gibbs, Cassie White, Norma Jean Baldwin, Geraldine Buttery, Cecil Gibbs and Harve Gibbs; this special friend: Doug Burns.

Funeral services for Brenda Roberts will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. William Hugh Hudson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Ho**er Cemetery in the Blue Hole Community.

Russell Burns, age 70, departed this life on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the Hazard ARH Hospital in Hazard, Ky. He was born November 28, 1955 in Oneida, Ky to Johnnie and Edna (Melton) Burns. He was a coal miner.

He is survived by his son: Jason Burns and wife Kay and three grandchildren: John, Kasey, and Klaire. Also surviving are these brothers and sister: Donnie Burns and wife Geraldine, Debra Collins and Joey Burns and wife Vicki as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents: Johnnie and Edna Burns; and the following brothers and sister: Judy Burns, Darryl Burns, Edgar Burns, and Billy Wayne Burns.

Funeral Services for Russell Burns will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns and Rev. Brad Stevens will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery in the Collins Fork Community.

Lois Hibbard Day, age 93. passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, Ky. She was born on Tuesday, May 17, 1932 in Clay County, Ky to William Frank and Eva (Sizemore) Hibbard. She worked at Pat’s for many years and was of the holiness faith.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Dwight Douglas Hibbard, Timothy Hibbard, Mark Dobbs, Kim Dezarn and Jonathan Brumley; twenty grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She preceded in death by her parents: William and Eva Hibbard; two daughters: Pamela Collett and Rebecca Dezarn and these brothers and sisters: Ida Mae Scalf, Charles Hibbard, Varie Hoyng, Dorothy Morgan, Daisy Saylor and Ruth Miller.

Jesse C. Gilbert, age 84, departed this life on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the AdventHealth Manchester. He was born November 2, 1941 in Clay County, Ky. to Emory and Hazel (Wilson) Gilbert.

He is survived by his wife: Myrtle (Smith) Gilbert and his son: Burchell Smith; his granddaughter: Sarah Hallie Comstalk and a host of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are the following brothers and sister: Alma Jean Reynolds, Lee Olan Gilbert, Larry Edward Gilbert and Bobby Wayne Gilbert.

He is preceded in death by parents: Emory and Hazel Gilbert and the following : William C. Gilbert, May Jones, Steve Gilbert, James Gilbert, Marie Gilbert and Beve Gilbert.

Jerry Weaver 94 passed away on February 20, 2026, with his family by his side at his home in Rainbow City, Alabama. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 73 years Irene Ball Weaver. Parents, J.B. & Jackie Weaver, Brother, John Weaver, Sister, Bobbie Florer, Great Grandson, Colby Vinson.
He is survived by his sons Harold (Denise ) Weaver, Daryl (Tonia ) Weaver, Grandchildren, Jason (Carla ) Weaver, Jennifer (Brian )
Graham, Maegan (Brad ) Minton, Joseph (Jennie ) Weaver, Great Grandchildren, Alexis (Andrew ) Willis, Derek (Faith) Graham,
Lauren Weaver, Anna Scott Weaver, Jax Weaver, C.J. He was born on Sexton Creek in Clay County Kentucky. He graduated high school from Annville Institute in 1950 where he gained the love for the Skilled Trades. He moved to Dayton Ohio in 1951 where he was reacquainted with a back home girl Irene Ball. They were married on March 8th 1952. He was hired as a Tool & Die Apprentice by International Tool. The company moved him to Gadsden Alabama in 1958 to train people in the Tool & Die trade. This is where his passion for training really began. In 1962 they took a leap of Faith and started Dixie Tool & Die. Soon after he was joined by his brother John Weaver and Brother in-law Dave McDaniel. This small start grew into a multinational Holding Company Known as Mid-South Industries of which he always
gave the credit to all the employees for its success. Jerry was very supported of the local efforts to promote Skilled Trades. He worked with the late Congressman Tom Bevill along with Gadsden State Administration in obtaining funds to build the Bevill Center. He was a past President of the Gadsden Chamber and served on various Boards. In 1980 he served as the President of the National tooling & Machining Association and traveled across the country promoting the skilled trades even in Congressional Hearings.
Jerry accomplished much in life with a strong Loving wife and family by his side. But his Greatest was in May of 2025 when he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was Baptized in July. Therefore, 0ur family rejoices in knowing that Mom & Dad are in the arms of Our Lord. He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

Charlene (Byrd) Collins, age 88 passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at her home. She was born Monday, September 27, 1937 in Manchester, KY to Charlie and Eunice (Sawyers) Byrd. She was a homemaker. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs, CoCo and Gingers.

She is survived by her children: Rosie Caudill, Tommy Collins and wife Susan, Reva Metcalf, Debbie Ho**er and husband Mike, Louise Duff and husband Ronnie, Eugene Collins and wife Brenda, Charles Collins and Renee Cox and Randy Collins and wife Loretta; 23 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren , 6 great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother: John Byrd and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bobby Thompson, age 74 passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born Friday, June 8, 1951 at Oneida, Kentucky to Otto and Georgia (Payne) Thompson. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Wanda (Bowling) Thompson and these children: Robbie Thompson and wife Judy and Lisa Ho**er; these grandchildren: Hallie Ho**er and Lucas Thompson and Jarrod Ho**er and wife Jennifer. Also surviving is his brother: Rick Thompson.
