Through our Fresh Picks program, we offer tasty, balanced menu choices that appeal to students while meeting school district, state and USDA nutrition and reporting standards. We prepare our menus on a budget, and whenever possible, with fresh local ingredients from New England suppliers.

🎉🐄 Happy 3-Month Birthday, Fern! 🐄🎉

Our adopted cow Fern just turned three months old as part of our partnership with Discover Dairy’s Adopt A Cow program! She’s growing strong on MacGlaflin Farm in Claremont, NH, and the milk from her farm helps fuel students right here in our Fresh Picks Café schools!

Here’s to learning where our food comes from, supporting local farms, and celebrating every milestone (especially the adorable ones)! 💙🥛

Fresh, colorful, and nourishing, this Rainbow Veggie Bowl is a vibrant celebration of wholesome ingredients.

Recipe: Rainbow Veggie Bowl with Tahini Lemon Dressing

Ingredients

1 cup cooked Quinoa

½ cup sliced beets

½ cup roasted sweet potato

½ cup diced avocado

½ cup corn

¼ cup crumbled feta

Handful fresh spinach

Dressing

1 tsp. tahini

1 tsp. maple syrup

Salt and Pepper to taste

Juice from 1 lemon

Directions

1. Assemble bowl with all ingredients.

2. Whisk all ingredients for dressing until smooth, drizzle over and serve.
