Build-your-own, comfort food done right 🥔✨

Students at in NH got to dig into a loaded potato bar featuring fresh, locally sourced potatoes and sweet potatoes—topped with hearty chili, crispy bacon, melty cheese, butter, sour cream, and fresh scallions. Paired with a side of steamed broccoli, it was a perfect balance of cozy and wholesome.

It’s meals like these that bring together flavor, choice, and quality ingredients—supporting local farms while serving up something students truly get excited about. 🌱💚

From seed to table 🌱

We’re wrapping up our three-part sustainability series with a look inside a thriving produce garden — where earth-grown foods come to life and learning goes far beyond the classroom.

School gardens create hands-on opportunities for students to understand where their food comes from, why it matters, and how small, sustainable choices can make a big impact. 🌍 From planting and harvesting to tasting the results, it’s an experience that grows knowledge, responsibility, and connection.

Here’s to cultivating healthier habits, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future — one garden at a time.

Nothing beats BEETS! 🌱

Students at the Bernice A. Ray School in New Hampshire got a fresh introduction to a new harvest feature at the salad bar, celebrating the power of earth-grown, wholesome foods. From farm to tray, these vibrant beets highlight how nourishing, minimally processed ingredients can fuel growing minds while supporting a more sustainable food system.

By bringing seasonal produce into the cafeteria, we’re not only serving delicious options, we’re helping students connect with where their food comes from, encouraging healthier choices, and supporting a future rooted in sustainability. 🌎🥗

Fern is 6 months old! 🐄💛

What started as a small calf update turned into something so much bigger... connecting students to agriculture, local farms, and the journey of where our food comes from.

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Discover Dairy and the Adopt a Cow Program, and for Farmer Julie and MacLaflin Farm for bringing Fern’s story to life all year long.

This may be our final update of the year, but the impact and the learning will last far beyond it. 🌱
