Through our Fresh Picks program, we offer tasty, balanced menu choices that appeal to students while meeting school district, state and USDA nutrition and reporting standards. We prepare our menus on a budget, and whenever possible, with fresh local ingredients from New England suppliers.

... And boy, is she growing fast! We absolutely love following Fern's journey on MacLaflin Farm in Claremont, NH. Through our partnership with Discovery Dairy and the Adopt a Cow program, students get a behind-the-scenes look at where milk comes from, how dairy farmers care for their animals, and the important role agriculture plays in our food system!
Here’s to Fern and the farmers who help bring fresh dairy from the farm to our tables! 🥛🌱

Winnisquam Regional School District in New Hampshire brought global flavors to the cafeteria with our Seoul Taco Pop-Up Shop, a delicious fusion of Korean-inspired fillings on a classic Mexican tortilla. With options like beef, chicken, and a variety of fresh, fun toppings, students explored new flavors while building balanced meals that nourish both body and community. That's how Food Connects Us!

Mini Buffalo Cauliflower Tacos

Ingredients:
• 1 head cauliflower
• 1 cup hot sauce
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 carrots, shredded
• 2 stalks celery, shredded
• 1 red onion, shredded
• Hot honey
• Ranch
• Siracha

Directions:
Shred carrots, celery, and red onion, toss with vinegar and salt. Set aside to marinate.
In a small bowl mix ranch, honey, and siracha, set aside.
Toss bite sized cauliflower florets in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toast until golden brown, in the oven at 375 for about 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and toss cauliflower in your hot sauce mixture and roast for another 5 minutes, until crispy.
Lay out mini tortillas, assemble tacos with buffalo cauliflower, vegetable slaw. Drizzle with hot honey ranch sauce and serve.

February was full of flavor and heart!

We celebrated Heart Healthy Month all month long with nutritious choices, Harvest of the Month highlights, and a special Guest Chef features. We brought the fun with Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day themed menus, plus exciting pop-ups from Honey Fire Kitchen and Wing Shack that our students loved! Thank you to everyone who helped make February a month to remember, here’s to keeping our hearts (and trays) happy all year long!
