Good morning . We are once again excited to assist the Rotary Club in accepting donations to the South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank. Our officers, along with members of the Ambulance Service of Manchester and the South Windsor FIRE Department, will be at Stop & Shop, Aldi's, and Whole Foods from 9AM to 3PM on Saturday and Sunday, November 22nd and 23rd.

We look forward to seeing everyone there, and thank you in advance for your donation to a worthy cause!

The Emergency of Hunger Food Drive WEEK ONE is here! Stop by Highland Park Market, Manchester, or Stop & Shop, Manchester, today and tomorrow, and donate much-needed food items! Ambulance Service of Manchester will be there from 9 AM to 4 PM to collect food, gift cards and monetary donations to support the essential services we provide to the Manchester community each day.

The Ambulance Service of Manchester is happy to co-host an evening focused on mental health and growth in the first responder community.

Emt’s, Paramedics, Police Officers and Fire Fighters, please join us on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Manchester Memorial Hospital Auditorium (Basement Level) for a presentation by Matthew A. Griffin, U.S. Navy Veteran, former law enforcement officer, and best-selling author. His program, The Treasure in the Trauma, explores how to transform trauma into growth and provides practical strategies for peer support and PTSD intervention.

🥤 5:30–6:30 p.m. Networking & Refreshments

Open to all First Responders (EMS, Fire, Police) and Hospital Clinicians.

Our office staff got into the spooky spirit today! From witches and superheroes to ghosts and ghouls, everyone had a blast celebrating while keeping the wheels turning for our crews in the field.

Big thanks to all our team members—whether you’re in costume or on the road—for your dedication and positive energy every day. Stay safe out there, and have a happy and healthy Halloween!

Halloween Safety Check from Ambulance Service Of Manchester!🚑🎃

Before the ghosts, goblins, and superheroes hit the streets tonight, take a minute to make sure everyone’s ready for a safe and spooktacular Halloween! 👻✨

Safety Tips for Trick-or-Treaters:
✅ Carry flashlights or glow sticks to stay visible.
✅ Use reflective tape on costumes and bags.
✅ Walk on sidewalks — never in the street.
✅ Cross only at crosswalks and look both ways.
✅ Stay with your group and keep an eye out for traffic.
✅ Only visit well-lit houses and avoid entering homes.

For Drivers:
🚘 Slow down in residential areas, kids can appear suddenly!
🚦 Stay alert and put away distractions.
🚫 Never drive impaired.

Only TWO MORE WEEKS until the 17th Annual Emergency of Hunger Food Drive! While shopping, keep in mind these needed holiday items. This food drive is a vital part of keeping our pantry shelves stocked during the winter months. The food drive will run for two weekends, November 8th and 9th & November 15th and 16th. Ambulance Service of Manchester will be collecting food donations at Highland Park Market, Manchester, and Stop & Shop, Manchester, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

The Ambulance Service of Manchester had a great time at the East Hartford Trick or Treat Trail this past Saturday! The Town Green was full of Halloween spirit as hundreds of families and costumed kids made their way through the festive trail.

We enjoyed connecting with our community, handing out treats, showing off our decorated booth, and sharing smiles with all the little ghosts and superheroes. A big thank-you to East Hartford Parks & Recreation for hosting such a fun event, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello!

Events like these remind us why we love serving our community. Until next time, stay safe and spooky!
