Group Homes of New Hampshire

We have recently learned about another group home in NH, Orion House in Newport. We will be meeting with the director on Monday to discuss how we can be of assistance to their organization. Currently, Orion House is looking for fishing poles so they may share the fishing experience with their residents. If any of you have extra fishing equipment lying around, please let us know and we will pick up and deliver to them. "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Today marks the 40th birthday for a very important member of our team. Without her strength and support, I don't know if I would have ever been able to do the things we've accomplished.

In honor of her birthday, I ask that everyone to spend the day paying it forward. Buy the coffee for the next person in line, pay the toll for the car behind you, things like that. It's easy to do, and who knows, it may be the one thing that that person needs in their life.

The Chase Home in Portsmouth, NH is trying to replace a vehicle in their fleet to provide safe transportation for their residents. The goal is $20,000, of which they have raised about half.

This vehicle is essential for medical appointments, school events and family visits for the kids.

Our family, with the help of friends, picked 218 pumpkins and delivered them to 5 group homes in NH this past weekend. It's always a pleasure to bring smiles to those faces that need it!

I just got home from Career Night at the Webster House. I always get so emotional afer speaking to them. I love talking to these kids, it gives me a great feeling to know I may have motivated at least one child. Thank you Lou for allowing me to participate. It was also great meeting the kids and other speakers tonight.

So as I stated last week, we have confirmation to receive pumpkins for the children's homes this year! We got a truck and trailer all set and ready to go and my family and I are ready for a hard day of work!

Looking for any information about children's homes in New Hampshire. We already have made contact with the Webster House, Nashua Children's Home, Dover Children's Home and Pine Haven Boys Center. Do you know if any others we can deliver pumpkins to this season?

In addition to Halloween pumpkins to carve, we would like to do a food and toy drive for Thanksgiving and Christmas. If anyone is interested in donating, please reach out to us. Whether it's toys, food or money to help offset the costs these organizations need, anything is appreciated.

It's getting to that time of year again. The colors are changing, the days are getting shorter and the pumpkins are right for the picking! Already confirmed with McQuesten Farm that we can get pumpkins, thank you for that! They are amazing people there. They even let me try my new glasses there this year. Can't wait to get in to the patches and see the greens, browns and oranges this year! It's going to be our best year yet!

Hello to everyone! I know it's been quite some time since we posted, but that doesn't mean things aren't happening. We recently acquired a new trailer to deliver the pumpkins, and I've been working diligently on it to get it ready for our biggest season yet! We will be reaching out to our contact for pumpkins soon. If anyone else has contacts with pumpkins, I would like to reach out to them as well.

I know its the middle of summer right now, but I would like to do a fundraiser for Christmas and possibly a food drive for Thanksgiving.

If anyone would like to help with anything, whether it's your time, financial to help pay for the gas and upgrades to the trailer or anything else I may be missing, please reach out to us.

So it appears that we found another facility for children. They accommodate 20 residents and are located on a nicely secluded property. Met with the director and discussed what we do, and what we want to do in the future. He seemed very responsive and optimistic about our cause. I'm very eager to work closely with this home, along with any others we've worked with, or will work with in the future.

I know a lot of us are planning our summer outings and family gatherings. I ask that as you're thinking of the great time with your family and friends that you stop for a moment and think of ways to help out the children that don't have these options.

If you have a business that can provide events, food or other services, I ask that you help these children. Let's work together to keep these facilities running smoothly and voice the children am experience they may never have had.
