John Joseph Coope

John passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 7th 2025. We are so very saddened and lost to lose such a kind, loving, caring father, friend, grandfather, brother or just family. He was my rock, my best friend, and he is missed very much. All of our lives will never be the same. It gives me peace to know that he is with my mom now. He was the best grandfather, and I’m so happy and grateful that he had lots of fun and joy before he left us.

He and Cheryl Coope had 3 children together, April Coope and her partner Michael Madden, granddaughter Rayna Madden, his son, Jonathan Coope, and his wife Melissa Coope and their children, Haden Coope and Daisy Coope, and his youngest son Bryan Coope and his husband Michael Rabuyo and his kids Dominik Coope and Rory Coope. We cannot forget his fur baby, Cheetah Coope AKA his best friend, and all his other fur babies he loved very much.

He also loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots and if you knew him well enough, then you would have had many sports conversations with him. He loved his sports. He also loved to just take a cruise in his car on a nice day just to enjoy the weather but not without stopping for his Powerball and scratch tickets. He was the best listener, if you needed to talk, he would stay on the phone for hours. Now, what he didn’t love and is probably dancing in heaven right now that he doesn’t have to read the news is Trump. If you were ever smart you would never mention his name otherwise the veins in his neck would pop. He was very passionate about his opinions, but that’s what I will now miss the most. He had love in his heart like no other and you were blessed to have been able to call him your friend or family.

My dad was the best dad a girl could have asked for. He will forever be missed and loved but never forgotten.

We love you always and forever, John Coope, AKA Dad.
