Safe Sports Network

Specialize in youth sports medicine, youth health education and outreach coverage for sporting events.

Advancing knowledge in musculoskeletal care and sports medicine and to promoting and providing a safe sports environment for athletes. Since its inception in 1990, Safe Sports Network has strived to promote a safer sports environment for young athletes through injury prevention, treatment, education, sporting event coverage, and our afternoon walk-in clinic. Safe Sports serves the student athletes of the Greater Manchester, Salem, and Nashua NH areas with 12 athletic trainers who provide service under our medical director, James Vailas, MD. Services include athletic training outreach to nine local high schools, injury drop-in clinics, annual physicals and coach and community education. Through these services Safe Sports is able to continuously promote and provide a sports environment which is safer for the young athletes of southern New Hampshire.

Congratulations to Manchester Memorial Booster Club football player Jordan Gallego for being recognized as the Perseverance Athlete for this fall!

Jordan sustained a shoulder injury during the season. He remained determined to get back to football. He put in the work every day completing his rehabilitation exercises so that way he could make a full recovery!

Logan sustained a concussion during preseason. His positive attitude and commitment to his recovery ensured that he was able to safely return to soccer and help his team!

Rayvon suffered a shoulder sprain and an ankle injury at the same time early in the season. He put in the work to rehabilitate both injuries and to get back to playing the game he loves!

Jose fractured his ankle this summer and began the season right away working to rehabilitate his ankle. Jose worked hard each day with his Athletic Trainer and always maintained a positive attitude!
