🎄 The holidays should be joyful, but they can also bring stress and overwhelm you. Our latest blog shares 5 practical tips to keep your mind and body healthy this season, from setting boundaries to prioritizing self-care.
🌟Congratulations to Danielle Jackitis, RN, BSN, our Quarter 3 2025 DAISY Award honoree! 🌟
Her nomination came from a patient’s family who witnessed her extraordinary kindness during a challenging time. Their loved one was facing advanced dementia and a stage 4 renal cell carcinoma diagnosis, which brought heightened anxiety and emotional distress.
The family shared, “Danielle was the earth angel that my mother-in-law needed during these difficult days. She broke through hard times with understanding, grace, and compassion. Our family could not be more grateful for the care Danielle provided. She deserves the highest praises for her kindness, compassion, and empathic nursing care.”
Over two difficult days, Danielle provided exceptional care. She comforted the patient through severe pain episodes, calmed moments of agitation, and provided support through the patient’s first radiation treatment. She demonstrated remarkable emotional intelligence, knowing when to use humor and when to offer gentle reassurance. Her proactive approach and soothing presence gave the patient the strength to continue treatment and brought peace to a family in crisis.
Congratulations, Danielle, and thank you for all you do to provide compassionate care to your patients!
🍴 Quick & Easy Meals – A Hands-On Success!
What a deliciously good time we had rolling up our sleeves and diving into an interactive cooking experience led by our amazing oncology registered dietitians, Kayla Valluzzi and Zoe Hamilton.
This session was part of our Cancer Survivorship Program, designed to support patients during and after treatment with practical tools for healthy living. Together, we whipped up simple, nourishing dishes that prove healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated or boring! From time-saving tips to flavor-packed recipes, everyone left with new ideas to make busy days a little easier (and tastier).
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the laughs, learning, and of course, the great food. Stay tuned for more survivorship sessions that bring wellness and fun to the table!

Thank you to U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan for meeting with our leaders yesterday. As a leading health system in New Hampshire, we appreciated the opportunity to share our thoughts and concerns to support accessible care across the communities we serve.
Tax cuts that help people who buy health insurance on healthcare.gov are expiring at the end of the year.
I met with doctors and health care leaders in Manchester today as I continue to push for an agreement to prevent the upcoming surge in premium costs for families.

Join us for a heartfelt evening of remembrance at our annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Ceremony this Saturday, December 6 at 7 PM in the Memory Garden.
This special gathering honors the precious lives of the babies we've lost and offers a space for families to find comfort and hope.
The ceremony is held in honor of our Angel of Hope statue, inspired by The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans—a story of love, loss, and healing. Each year on December 6, families around the world gather at Angel of Hope statues to remember and reflect. We are honored to host this tradition for our community.
If you would like your baby’s name read during the ceremony, please email amorneau@elliot-hs.org. All are welcome and an RSVP is not required.

🦃 Leading up to Thanksgiving, Elliot Health System celebrated gratitude with action! ❤️
Last week our employees, providers, and volunteers came together for a full day of appreciation and giving during our annual Employee Appreciation, Turkey Distribution, and Community Coat & Food Drive at Elliot Hospital. From early morning until evening, our campus was filled with generosity, teamwork, and the spirit of the season.
Every member of our Elliot family including employees, medical staff, and volunteers were offered a turkey as a gesture of thanks for the incredible care they provide to patients and families throughout the year. Together, we turned gratitude into action by donating 1,238 turkeys, hundreds of coats and warm clothing items, and nearly 900 pounds of food to support organizations in the communities we serve across New Hampshire.
We are deeply thankful for the generosity of our team and proud to continue this tradition of giving back. 💙
