Taking things slow early in the season can help prevent injuries before activities are fully underway. In celebration of National Volunteer Week, we invited our incredible volunteers to Elliot River’s Edge to enjoy a sweet ice cream social! 🍦 Our volunteers support Elliot Health System in so many meaningful ways, from assisting team members across hospital departments to engaging with patients and visitors, providing faith and spiritual support, participating in the NICU baby cuddling program, offering therapy animal visits, and more.

With hundreds of volunteers from diverse backgrounds, one thing unites them all: a shared passion for making a difference and giving back to the community we call home. In 2025, volunteers contributed approximately 25,000 hours. We are so incredibly grateful for our volunteers and the impact they make across our health system and within our community.
