I'm on my way to take a good group of people on a hike around some waterfalls. Now I know - because of my areas of study and my experiences - that this is very healthy for me In fact, its healthy for anyone.

What strikes me today is the thought that I created this life, this career, for myself. I took what I love - added to it what I know is good for me - and found a way to use it to help others.

This is what Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies Everyday is all about. Combining our love with our health and finding a way for it to make our society healthier.

We can all be better people - Individually and as a community.

Someone just asked me why I don't have a "Healthy Emotion" component in the title of this page. It's simple really, Emotions come directly from our thoughts. They are unequivocally a product of our mind. If we have a healthy mind - a healthy thought process - we have healthy emotions. No need to over complicate it...

Carrying around a 25 pound pack all day and into the night is good exercise. Add your 3 year old son on top for a 1.6 mile shoulder ride - while still carrying the pack - on a rocky, forested trail in the dark... You WILL feel it the next morning...
