๐จ New Hampshire Healthcare Alert โ Oppose HB1321 ๐จ
House Bill HB1321 would restrict who can provide elective IV therapy in New Hampshire โ potentially excluding licensed Paramedics and AEMTs, even when operating under physician supervision.
Letโs be clear:
Paramedics and AEMTs in NH are already authorized to initiate IV access and administer medications in high-acuity, emergency environments under physician-approved standing orders.
If they are trusted to perform these skills in a moving ambulance, they should not be prohibited from performing them in a controlled outpatient setting under physician oversight.
This bill threatens:
โข Healthcare workforce stability
โข Patient access to care
โข Small healthcare businesses
โข Scope-of-practice consistency
If you support maintaining access to physician-supervised IV therapy and protecting EMS professionalsโ ability to work, register your opposition to HB1321.
