Great news for providers offering virtual care: The recent continuing resolution passed by Congress extends key Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) telehealth flexibilities through January 30, 2026, retroactive to October 1, 2025.

What this means for your practice:
✅ You can continue submitting telehealth claims under the pandemic-era rules (e.g., home as the originating site, audio-only visits for non-behavioral health, extended provider types) through early 2026.
✅ If you paused or scaled down virtual services during uncertainty, now’s the time to restart and re-engage.
✅ Keep documentation and billing workflows sharp, while the extension gives cushion, long-term permanence is still unresolved.
