Most people don’t walk in and say, “Hi, I’m depressed.”
They say they’re overwhelmed. Burnt out. Snapping at everyone. Not sleeping. Not enjoying anything.
That’s where my job starts.
When someone comes in feeling this way, I don’t jump straight to assumptions or a generic plan. I take time to sort out what’s coming from life stressors and what may be clinical depression that needs real depression treatment.
That starts with a thorough assessment, then a plan that actually fits you. Sometimes that includes medication management. Sometimes it includes other interventions. Often it’s a mix.
If you’ve been wondering whether what you’re feeling is “just life” or something more, it’s worth getting a real answer.
