Dr. Cooper is originally from Baltimore, Maryland where she obtained her Bachelor's degree from Towson State University and a Master's degree from The University of Maryland at Baltimore. She then went on to earn a Medical degree from the University of Maryland Medical School. Upon graduation, Dr. Cooper moved to New Orleans where she completed her general surgery and plastic surgery training at Louisiana State University and the Charity Hospital system. She then sought ongoing training in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery completing a fellowship at Children's Hospital of New Orleans. An important achievement for plastic surgeons in New Orleans, Louisiana and beyond, Dr. Cooper is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Louisiana Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Cooper performs a full range of cosmetic procedures and post-bariatric surgery. Her office is in Mandeville, Louisiana. She has privileges at facilities on both sides of Lake Pontchartrain, which makes her able to accommodate patients from all over the greater New Orleans area, the Northshore and South Mississippi.
In addition to operating a thriving private practice, Dr. Cooper has published and presented research on various topics including Breast Reconstruction, Breast Augmentation, Basil Joint Arthritis and Perforator Free Flap Reconstruction. In 2002 she was awarded by the Louisiana Society of Plastic Surgeons for her outstanding research.
