Pap smears sometimes are not enough. Don't forget your pelvic screenings!

Pap smears can detect abnormal cells in the cervix, which helps early detection of cervical cancer or precancerous conditions.
Pelvic screenings can identify abnormalities like fibroids, cysts, and other growths. They also give a visual of the size, shape, and structure of various pelvic organs, including the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.

About half of all women have dense breasts, which can increase the risk of breast cancer and make it harder to detect on a mammogram.

Understanding your breast density is an important step in making proactive decisions about your breast health and supporting early detection.

If you have dense breasts, consider asking your doctor about personalizing your breast cancer screening plan based on your breast density (BI-RADS score) and overall risk.

Recommendations may include 3D mammograms (if available in your area), more frequent screening like Amanda Peet, or additional imaging—also called supplemental screening—such as ultrasound or breast MRI.
