Vision Therapy Success for some patients means learning how to coordinate the eyes to work together by retraining the brain. In a patient with strabismus the brain does not know how to use the eyes together. This results in decreased depth perception. Congratulations to our graduate who now can use his eyes together successfully!! 👏👏🎖🎓

Parents: did you know that 3 out of every 100 children have an eye condition called “amblyopia”?

You might know this condition by another name: “lazy eye.” The condition causes one eye to be stronger than the other because of a breakdown in how the eye and brain work together.

Can Vision Training Transform ACL Rehab?
New research suggests it can.
A recent clinical commentary published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy explores how visual perturbation training using stroboscopic eyewear—like the Senaptec Strobes—may play a key role in reducing re-injury risk and improving return-to-play outcomes after ACL reconstruction.

Key Insights from the Study
🔍 ACL injuries trigger changes in the brain—not just the knee—resulting in:
• Increased reliance on visual input for motor control
• Impaired proprioception and movement coordination
• Heightened neurocognitive demands during sport-specific movements

Vision Therapy is not easy. It requires dedication, motivation and the commitment to do the work. Our graduate had it all and, as a result, not only did she accomplish her goals, she did it in less time than expected. Even when it was hard she persevered. We are so proud of her!!
