The Schroth™ method, BSPTS method and SEAS method for treatment of Scoliosis are effective and non-invasive methods used to decrease or halt curve progression and relieve pain. The Schroth™ based physical therapy is indicated for scoliosis, kyphosis, pre and post surgery. It educates clients to position and exercise their body to mirror the scoliosis. The curve-specific exercises create 3-D forces in the spine. It incorporates principles of auto-elongation, isometric strengthening and corrective rotational breathing to:
Prevent or decrease curve progression
Increase trunk strength and flexibility
Enhance pulmonary function
Improve mobility and posture
Reduce pain

The treatment includes
Musculoskeletal evaluation
X-ray review and postural assessment
Scoliosis education for patients and families
Individualized exercise program, working one-on-one with a PT certified in Schroth™ based method
Customized home exercise program
Education about "dos and donts " in daily life in ADL's
Bracing consultation for scoliosis

SEAS is an acronym for "Scientific Exercises Approach to Scoliosis". This is a conservative method for treatment of Scoliosis developed by ISICO (Istituto Scientifico Italiano Colonna Vertebrale, or Italian Spine Scientific Institute). The principles of SEAS are based on active self-correction that is taught individually to each single patient, and then associated with stabilizing exercises that include neuromotor control, proprioceptive training and balance. AIM - The aim with SEAS exercises is to avoid or at least postpone bracing, and to arrive at the end of growth with a presumably stable curvature. When a brace has already been prescribed, exercises are mandatory in order to avoid all side effects of bracing, to increase its function, and to allow the spine to be stable during the weaning period and when the brace is abandoned. For adults, the AIM is to control the progression of the curve by integrating active self correction in functional activities. Advantages of SEAS method:
1) No additional equipment needed for HEP(home exercise program).
2) The exercises need to be performed 15 minutes every day or 45 minutes two-three times a week.
3) The exercises are incorporated into daily living activities. SEAS approach is also characterized by a cognitive-behavioural approach towards the patient and his family to maximize compliance to treatment

The Effective and Safest Treatment for Low Back Pain
Lower back pain is a widespread and most common musculoskeletal condition. Three out of every five people experience episodes of low back pain in their life. Around 15% to 33% of the population suffers from an episode of low back pain.

Highlighting the importance of education about the condition and the formulation of management strategies reduces the burden on your life. The onset of lower back pain is often cumulative. Many have been repetitive low-level loading on the back’s tissues, such as frequent bending or lifting.

Cervical Radiculopathy: A Pain in the Neck
Cervical radiculopathy is the medical term that doctors use to describe an abnormality in the function of a spinal nerve root in the neck.
The most common symptoms from this are neck pain and/or pain in the arm and hand. This pain can be excruciating. Sometimes it occurs along with muscle weakness and/or numbness and tingling in the arm and hand, but in actuality any of the three symptoms: pain, muscles weakness, or numbness can occur in isolation or in combination with any of the others. People may also complain of a loss of range of motion or an increase in their pain when they look upwards.

What Affects Scoliosis Surgery Recovery Time?

The duration of this recovery can vary, depending on the invasiveness of the techniques used, but generally speaking these are long recoveries that are measured on the order of months. Bone fusion can take from six months to a year, which means patients typically wait at least that long before returning to strenuous activities. Even so, most patients have returned to everyday activity by around a month or two. The following is an overview of several factors that can influence your particular recovery.

is all about your core, your powerhouse
The core muscles of torso, had gained strength, and that translated from easier bending over to lift baby to confident and smooth dancing at a party. Pilates called your "powerhouse." An appropriate word for the lively and stable feeling in my stomach. As if from that center I could move through the world more naturally and effortlessly.

Risks of an early return from a hamstring tear
Bolt’s injury forced him to withdraw from the Jamaican Olympic trials—though he was still selected for the Jamaican national team. If you play a sport, you can likely sympathize with Bolt in regards to how frustrating it can be to miss even one practice or game.

While you may be itching to return, a premature comeback from a hamstring tear can lead to the following complications:
-Prolonged recovery time
-Long-term pain
