If you’re a woman over 40, read this before you count yourself out.”

Day 3 of my run training and I swear something is waking UP in me.

2.5 miles ran. 2 miles walked.
Strength. Sweat. Truth.
NYC showed out: Hell’s Kitchen, Chelsea, the High Line, Hudson River…
And yes, I literally stumbled onto a beach.
In New York City.
Proof that life can still surprise you at 40, 50, and beyond.

I’m running to get into the best wedding‑dress shape of my LIFE!

But I’m also running toward a bigger purpose.
A bigger mission.
And a BIG announcement you won’t hear until July. 👀
(Just know it involves YOU. It involves love, movement, and the kind of faith you can feel in your bones.)

Watching my fiancé, Sekou Writes, run nearly 1,200 days straight through stroke‑pain has taught me this:
Midlife isn’t a breakdown …
it’s a breakthrough…
Midlife is for second chances
Midlife’s aren’t too Old or Too Late!

If you’re this midlifer-drop a heart and let’s connect...InPoweredByHER

To the woman on the corner who yelled, “I see y’all!”... you have no idea what those words did for us.

Day 2 of training, and Mother Nature decided to test our resolve with a NYC special. Yesterday it was close to 70 and Today: freezing rain and ice. 🧊💨

Sekou is pushing through constant right-side nerve pain. The temps are dropping. The pavement is slick. WE’RE In Midlife, Honestly? It would have been easy to call it a day. But then, we heard it. that beautiful “I see y’all! The couple that runs together STAYS together!”

That’s the magic of this city. When the world feels cold, the community warms you up. We aren’t just running for fitness; we’re running for the life we’re building/the community we need and the life WE’RE heading towards in 8 months.

Rain, ice, or stroke recovery…we’re staying together. Every mile is a victory.

Have you ever had a stranger give you exactly the energy you needed at the right time? Tell me about it below

Keep Rocking with us fam. We have BIGG Announcement dropping SOON!

Are you telling yourself your apartment/house needs cleaning. You tell yourself work is too demanding. You need to grocery shop right now and you tell yourself the errands won’t run themselves; right?

But this week, at the closing ceremony my 6-week cohort, one woman shared that because she said ‘YES’ to putting herself out there IRL-She stopped using her ‘to-do list’ as an excuse to stay lonely.
By intentionally saying “yes” to this group, she realized that the laundry can wait—but the soul-nourishing power of female friendship cannot.
If you’ve been hiding behind your calendar, this is your sign to step out. It’s not that you don’t have time; it’s that you deserve to be on your own schedule.

My experience as a social host for a small group of women demonstrates my ability to facilitate engaging, supportive, and inclusive conversations in inclusive and diverse environments. I get to help women navigate some of the situations I’ve found myself in when I was STUCK

I help women reframe negative ideas; as well as remind them to give themselves Grace when judgement-doubt and fear come up!______________________ _____________

Happy Women’s History Month.

Knowing isn’t enough. Our generation: Gen X is the “Action” generation.

Hey gurl…Hey! Here is your to-do list:

Audit Your Circle: Look at your vendors, your feed, your followers and who you’re following and your mentors. Are they diverse? If not, move your money and your attention to women-owned brands from different backgrounds.

*Mentor Down, Sponsor Up: Use your Gen X “clout” to mentor a younger woman (Gen Z needs your resilience) and sponsor a peer (recommend her for that role, gig, assignment, position or that board seat).

How many jobs? Careers? Gigs? Assignments and Roles have you had?

The title I’ve work THE Longest was:
Celebrity Personal Trainer Actor

Training Bill Whitaker of 60 Minutes, Marla Gibbs of ‘The Jefferson’s and 227’; along with Mila Kunis of ‘That 70’s Show and ‘Bad Moms I and II. taught me that having great stamina and ‘Bring Of Service’ is the ultimate currency.

But as an actor and host, I was told I was ‘too big’ for the frame. Today, I’m 50+ and I’ve realized: The industry’s mind was small, but my mission is huge.

This question is for my Sistahs OVER 40. Are you willing to say YES to your own expansion?
