Your thoughts shape what you attract into your life. If you want positive outcomes, you need to cultivate a positive mindset.
Think of your thoughts as the wind that carries good things to you.
When you dwell on negative thoughts, you send those vibes out into the universe, and that's what you'll see reflected back in your life. The same goes for your words.
Using negative language only strengthens those negative patterns.
The more you convince yourself that you're unlucky or that you're missing out, the more you'll experience those feelings. It's like programming your mind to focus on the negatives.
THE SILVER LINING
When you talk about your life, do you focus on what's missing as opposed to what you have? If you constantly dwell on what you lack, it becomes your reality.
When you make a big deal out of the negatives, you push away the good things that could come your way.
Instead, challenge yourself to see the bright side of every situation.
OPENING YOUR MIND BEFORE YOUR MOUTH
Many of us suffer from "word vomit", speaking without thinking. When you do this, you don't filter your words or the thoughts behind them, increasing the likelihood of saying or doing the wrong thing.
If you want better results from your conversations, take a moment to consider your words carefully before you speak.
TAKE THINGS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT
When life throws you a curveball, try to find the humor in it or take it in stride. Some things are beyond your control, but you can always choose how you react.
For instance, instead of getting frustrated when someone is late for lunch, use the extra time to relax, gather your thoughts, or leisurely browse the menu.
SAY THINGS OUT LOUDLY AND PROUDLY
When you keep your goals and desires to yourself, it's easier to lose motivation. Declaring your intentions out loud, whether to friends, family, or even just to yourself, makes them more real and gives you extra incentive to follow through.
For example, if you want to lose weight, telling others about your goal can provide the extra push you need to stay committed. Hearing your own words and knowing others have heard them too, makes your resolve stronger. It's like using your pride to your advantage, you don't want to go back on your word, so you're more likely to stick with it.
These tips should help you get started on the right path. Enjoy!
