Accord Hospice of Manhattan hosted our monthly Blood Pressure Clinic at the Manhattan Senior Center yesterday and it was a pleasure to meet so many of our community members!
The Blood Pressure Clinic is open to the public and no appointment is necessary. Join us on the third Monday of the month from 11am -Noon. We look forward to seeing you!

Registration is open for our 8th annual Camp SOAR for kids ages 6-13 who are coping with a loss. If you know of someone who would benefit from this amazing day of support, please call us at (785) 376-0346 or email register@accordks.com to request a registration packet.
As always, there is no cost to attend and will be a day full of sharing memories and making new ones!

What a great day we had at the Junction City Senior Center Community Health Fair!
Always a pleasure to meet with the community and support them in any way we can. Nick French, Accord Hospice of Manhattan's Assistant Director was able to create some beautiful flower arrangements with those who visited with us! It's one of his super powers!
We were grateful to be a part of such an amazing day!

Education is so important on issues that impact end-of-life care. Each year, Accord Hospice celebrates National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16th - all month long! This is a time to educate, inspire, and empower your community to choose the person to speak for your in you are unable to speak for yourself and to put your medical healthcare wishes in writing.
Today our team sat together and discussed 5 Wishes, the first living will that talks about your personal, emotional, and spiritual needs, as well as your medical wishes. We know that we ALL need to make this a priority and we would love to help you!

So excited to announce our 8th annual Camp SOAR for kids ages 6-13 who are coping with the loss of someone they care about is scheduled for Saturday, May 9th at A & H Farms in Manhattan from 9 am - 3 pm. With our theme of Finding Light, we have many games, crafts, and fun activities planned - all to let our campers know they are not alone!

So pleased to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Tallgrass Healthcare Memory Care Unit today in Junction City. The 22-bed unit called Lavender Lane is designed to assist people with dementia issues. Congratulations and thank you for serving patients and their families in need of support!

Just a reminder that we, along with Meadowlark Community Programs, are hosting our first Caregiver Support Circle tonight at 6 pm in the Flint Hills Room at Meadowlark, 2121 Meadowlark Rd., Manhattan.
We invite all caregivers who are taking care of a loved one to join us and share challenges and successes, problem solve day-to-day caregiver concerns, and connect with others who understand.
No registration required. If you are unable to be with us in person, you do have the option to be with us on Zoom. Call (785) 323-3899 for the link or if you have any questions..
This Caregiver Support Circle will take place the second Monday evening each month at 6 pm...so mark your calendar. We hope to see you tonight!
