Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine are seeking adults ages 60-89 that experienced a pain problem or issue in the last 3 months to complete a no more than 15-minute, anonymous survey as part of a research study. The study is looking at the feasibility of a new pain assessment survey. This study is being conducted by Dr. Cary Reid and has been approved by the Weill Cornell Medicine Institutional Review Board, protocol #20-07022403. Participants will not be compensated for completing this short survey however, the valuable information you provide may help improve understanding chronic pain in older adults and may guide future patient-centered care.

If you are interested in participating in this study, it can be accessed at:

Given our methods of recruiting participants through multiple organizations, it is possible you have already received this invitation. If so, please complete this survey only once.

If you have any questions please contact pat-study@med.cornell.edu or (862)305-0615.

We are very excited about our visit at the beginning of August to Lehman Village Senior Center, where Dr. Reid discussed pain management (e.g. medications pros and cons, physical activities) and our team was able to distribute research surveys looking to better understand people’s goals regarding treatment for their pain. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with local seniors, hear their stories, and answer any questions they had about pain. We are grateful for these partnerships where we can interact with local communities and disseminate our researched knowledge on non-pharmacological pain management.

If you are interested in taking the survey, please go to http://ctsc.med.cornell.edu/PMGSurvey
