Day 15- Meet Mary Gibbons, LMCFT

Mary Gibbons is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist and EMDRIA/EMDR Certified Therapist with over ten years of experience providing mental health and trauma services. Mary attended Oklahoma State University for her undergraduate degree, where she received a B.A. in Psychology — along with the distinction of summa cm laude. She went on to receive a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy 2013.

Throughout her clinical career, she has worked in a variety of settings including university counseling centers, youth service and family crisis agencies, The Center for Family Services at Oklahoma State University, and in private practice. This diversity of experience has allowed Mary to work with a wide range of presenting problems as well as to provide on-site supervision of clinical interns.

Mary serves individuals, families, and couples impacted by a history of trauma and other significant life stressors. Unlike "how-to" treatments that focus on thought-life alone, Mary utilizes emotion-focused (EFT) and trauma-informed (EMDR) interventions that enable clients to gain a greater sense of emotional well-being, ability to tolerate distressing emotions, and enjoy more satisfying interactions within important relationships. Mary enjoys integrating conversations related to faith and worldview and actively incorporates the Christian faith, when requested. Mary works with clients from all faith backgrounds but has found some of her most rewarding and effective work in blending this specialized focus of EMDR trauma treatment and Christianity.

FUN FACT: Mary is a Manhattan transplant. When she is not in the therapy room, she is busy homeschooling four girls, sewing, or hiking with her family.

We are honored to have Mary serving clients at Andrews & Associates. Her dedication to trauma-informed care and her heart for helping others heal make her a valued part of our practice and the community.

Day 14- Meet Jessie Ehrlich, LPC

Jessica holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and is licensed as a Professional Counselor. She completed her practicum and internship experiences at Katie’s Way, where she worked with children and adolescents, as well as at the Crisis Stabilization Unit, where she primarily supported adults.

Jessica takes a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy and incorporates techniques from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful progress and growth in the counseling process.

Jessica is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents. Day 10- Meet Rebecca Donovan, LCMFT

Rebecca Donovan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based out of Manhattan, Kansas. Rebecca is originally from Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Ohio University in 2017. During her time there, she pursued research on eating disorders and led several mental health community engagement projects, which eventually led her to a career in clinical work. Rebecca moved to Kansas shortly after to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.

During her program, she noticed that most of her clients had developmental trauma from childhood. This led her to seek out the best treatments for her clients to resolve their post-trauma symptoms. Under the guidance of Dr. Joyce Baptist, Rebecca participated in research studying the efficacy of Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment with suicidal ideation. EMDR is considered one of the gold standards of treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). After seeing the powerful and efficient results of EMDR, she received her own EMDR training in 2019 and officially finished all levels of her training in 2020. Rebecca also completed EMDR advanced trainings in 2019 to treat complex PTSD symptoms and dissociative disorders. In 2021, Rebecca completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) effectively and safely. ERP is the gold standard of treatment for those suffering from obsessive-compulsive and anxious disorders.

Rebecca is passionate about facilitating healing through empowering her clients to take active and mindful steps towards their goals. Her approach is client-centered and transparent - this means that your therapy will be tailored to fit your specific needs and she will be open with you about the process of therapy. Rebecca believes in utilizing research-backed methods of treatment and trauma psychoeducation to guide her clients towards a healthy and balanced life.

Healing begins with one step forward and a moment of trust. Rebecca hopes that you will allow her to walk alongside you for part of your journey.

We are grateful to have Rebecca as part of the Andrews & Associates team and for the care, expertise, and compassion she brings to the clients and community we serve.

Mari graduated from University of New England with her Master’s in Social Work and began her career in 2014, driven by a passion for helping others navigate life’s most difficult moments.

Her professional experience includes previously working in a psychiatric hospital and community mental health, where she served a diverse population of clients, including active-duty military, veterans, individuals struggling with substance use, and people across the lifespan—children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Mari’s calling to this work began early in life. While facing her own personal hardships, she discovered a desire to support others through theirs, ensuring that no one has to face challenges alone. This insight continues to shape her compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy.

Mari now provides EMDR therapy, helping clients process trauma and emotional distress in a way that is both structured and deeply individualized.

After relocating to Fort Sill, OK, Mari offers telehealth-only services, allowing clients to receive care in a flexible and accessible way.

Outside of her professional work, Mari enjoys unwinding with a good TV drama or action series and spending time watching her children play sports.

We’re grateful to have Mari as part of our team and the care she brings to the clients she works with every day!
