Our Unique Story

Spence Funeral Services has provided funeral, cremation, and pre-planning services to the families of northwest Lancaster County and the surrounding area since 2005. After being employed as a funeral director by the former Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, Inc., in Elizabethtown for 11 years, I and my wife, Brenda, decided to create a fresh, new kind of funeral business with a unique purpose - to provide excellent service to families while keeping costs affordable. Although Brenda is employed full time as director of resident accounts at Masonic Village, she supports me and the families we serve by assisting at visitations and services as time permits.

Unlike traditional funeral services that have large buildings to maintain and many staff members to support, we are able to provide a more affordable alternative by conducting visitations and services in churches, chapels, and other locations. We also use technology in creative ways to help achieve this goal. Offering to meet with individuals and families in the comfort of their homes is one of the many services we provide that sets Spence Funeral Services apart from others.
