It is important to stop at least daily and destress from all that is around you!! As a health care professional, mental health provider, law enforcement, and school personnel the stressors of daily contact with people and the traumas they experience can also “stick to you” like lint. Be sure to give yourself time to care for your well-being!! If you work in public service or have the demands of daily production, the stress can build up..take care and be sure to breath deep and smell the flowers on occasion!!! It is good for you!

To understand we need to first start with an understanding of brain development. From infancy up to at least 25 (newer studies saying 28) our brains are developing. Throughout the start of brain development protective factors are essential for strong fundamental development of a child's cognitive and emotional foundation.

Trauma can occur to anyone, at any time. On a daily basis traumas occur; but some of us may have skills and supports to get through our darkest hours... while others may not. For them the trauma can take their life course and cause pain and suffering.. not only emotionally but even physically. Trauma is used as a "slang" word in our society, but for so many in equates much pain, loss and suffering. We all have resiliance... something that exists in us...
