I always carve out time to travel to Northern Wisconsin —
to teach, reconnect with friends, and spend time surrounded by nature. 🌿
Over time, that journey — the drive, the quiet before class, the familiar faces —
has become one of my grounding rituals.
Rituals don’t have to be elaborate — they can be as simple as breathing before teaching or sharing presence with others.

Here’s where you can practice with me:
🪷 Washington Island Recreation Center
– Chair Yoga • Mondays
– Yoga Flow • Thursdays

And when I travel north (about a 4-hour drive!),
I teach classes at the Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters whenever I can.

Had lunch today with my beautiful friend Sue at Nelsons Bitters Club on Washington Island. Its hard to believe that 50 years ago, Sue and Art Covi, Jim Barth, John Levendusky and myself, shared drinks (and bitters) while visiting Sue at her summer house here. Where does time go....

Every time I travel north to teach, I feel a familiar calm settle in — the rhythm of packing, driving, walking through the woods… it’s all part of a sacred ritual. 🌿

Rituals don’t have to be elaborate — sometimes they’re just a moment of awareness, a cup of tea, or a deep breath before starting your day.

What does ritual mean to you?

💛 Share yours in the comments — I’d love to know what grounds you.

Full color finally reached Washington Island and was worth the climb up to the Tower on Mountain Drive to see it in its glory. Nature talks to us through its beauty, filling us with hope and reminding us to honor our dreams. It connects us to our Truth and always provides us with healing energy. It is moments like this that brings us back to center where Truth lies. It surely did that for me :)

The Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan is a rugged scenic stretch of land that juts into Lake Superior. The cabin retreat here offered a peaceful escape, with hiking along wooded trails, exploring the town of Calumet and local art galleries and creating artwork. Beachcombing for driftwood and stones is always intriguing...Even a fun afternoon at the Mt. Olympus spa! A perfect place to slow down, recharge, and connect!

Join Darcy and Suzi for this alternative to the Women's Adventure Retreat. As we did not get a required amount of participants to make it run, we are offering activities during this weekend but all expenses will be paid for by the participant. Darcy and I are just providing the activities.

Experience an unforgettable fall Get Together filled with hiking on trails taking you to private beaches, a tour of the island bee farm, biking to a stunning lavender farm, climbing the Tower for panoramic view with short trail hike after, visit to the famous School House Beach with its white rocks, engaging in a revitalizing yoga session,, ending an exciting day with a relaxing sound bath session Friday night, We will also explore a Viking heritage site, and walk a serene labyrinth. And, Saturday we will ferry to Rock Island and visit the Lighthouse....It all starts with a an enjoyable ferry ride.

Fall color is fantastic in Door County at the end of September and early October, so our eyes will be in for a real treat! The drive along Hwy 42 up the Peninsula should be breathtaking. On Saturday we will ferry to Rock Island for a mesmerizing hiking expedition.

About Me

Hey everyone!! Thanks for stopping by my page! My name is Suzi and I'm a passionate educator who believes in helping you create your best life! I have relocated to the North Woods of Wisconsin 2 years ago and never regretted it. I live in a beautiful area of lakes, forests, trails, and great fishing! Yes, it does get cold, but the beauty of the area and silence of nature makes any feelings of cold just melt! My love for yoga continues to grow. I have traveled to India twice on Spiritual pilgrimages to practice and learn yoga philosophy. Last year I had the privilege of teaching yoga on a spiritual pilgrimage to Bhutan and now am fortunate to share my love of yoga to the residents of Manitowish Waters. Milwaukee was my home town where I received my Masters in Education from Alverno College and then relocated to North Carolina for 15 years before returning to my childhood cabin to reside. I love helping others achieve their goals through personal training, yoga, or just sharing insights. And last, but not least, I want to thank all those who have aided me and supported me on my life’s journey.

Namaste
