Yesterday our Explorer clients were baking and preparing for their Hot Cocoa, Bars and Cookie Sale today! Everything looks so good! Those cookies are giant! What a great job and you are learning valuable skills as well!

Yesterday the youth clients visited The Nook! They learned about the importance of small businesses, what the Nook is all about and how to create fun lemonade drinks!

Last night the Youth Program went to check out Coffee Lab! The visit was awesome overall, and everyone learned a lot and had a great time! The kids learned about the different products that are used, what the inside looks like, how to run the drive thru and how to make espresso! The owner also talked about how the business got started and that it is named after his dog, which is a Labrador. He had a fun personality, engaged in all kinds of conversations with the kids and said that he enjoyed taking the time out of his day, to create a connection with us!

Our bread worked! We made homemade bread from scratch in LINKED today. Also made a banana quick bread as a back up just in case. Great bunch of bakers here at Ascend and look at those proud smiles!
