Tell us a little about yourself.

I came to Ascend after working several years in a local nursing home in their activity department. I started as a Mentor and have worked my way to being a Client Trainer. I take great pride in my creativity skills working on many different projects in my free time from making t shirts to jewelry.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Besides all the wonderful things I have been able to enjoy with the clients, something I am proud of starting 2 years ago was a penny war between departments. It’s a weeklong event; the winning department gets a trophy and bragging rights for the year. All money raised goes to the Salvation Army towards the Battle of Non-Profits. When the clients come in that week proud of their pennies, even just 2 of them, just warms my heart. I am so proud of them for their efforts every year!
