To Our Customers:
Barb has left a message on our answering machine regarding our office being closed for the next weeks in response to covid-19 spread. We closed Monday this past week and will for sure be closed all of next week and then reassess about future openings. Because we have many clients that fall into the high risk category (60+ and/or underlying health issues) it's too great of a risk to continue to treat patients, even if they or we are low risk. Low risk individuals can be asymptomatic carriers and as tests and testing are extremely limited all over, we don't have a way of knowing who is a carrier. This article points out some of our main concerns: 6 feet is the infectious radius, with just talking, let alone coughing or sneezing. These infectious aerosols can remain in the air for 3 hours. Infectious particles can remain active on surfaces for 3 days. We will provide updates as conditions develop.
The novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 remained viable in aerosols for hours and on surfaces for days, similar to the virus that caused SARS, according to new data.
