Speech Language & Learning Services has a job opening for a part-time (30-35 hours weekly) office receptionist and insurance billing position. Work hours are flexible, Monday-Friday with occasional half day work on Saturdays, holidays off. Afternoon and evening hours will be required. We are looking for a friendly, positive personality with good written and verbal communication skills, and a candidate who is organized, detailed, self-motivated, a team player, and good with both children and adults with special needs and communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have computer skills including experience with Word, Excel, Adobe, Quickbooks, and Apple products. We will provide training on all office procedures, policies, equipment, and programs needed to be successful in this position. If you are interested in learning new skills, including medical billing, and working in a medical therapy practice, but thought you needed special certification, please inquire. We will train you, and no certification is necessary.

Hey my LAMP users. I’ve had requests for social meet ups to practice using the LAMP AAC devices. I’m posting in hopes ya’ll can connect and plan some ways to get the kiddos together to practice social communication with your devices. I think any of the AAC device users could join in, but LAMP is the one used by those inquiring about this.

Congratulations to Elise, our Baylor University student clinician! She has completed her Summer 2024 clinical experience in our office! She came in on Day 1 with an open mind, ready to learn, and an enthusiasm which was contagious! She eagerly welcomed new goals and challenges. Elise grew in her technical skills, her techniques with our patients, and her love and passion for our profession. Elise developed into a great clinician who everyone enjoyed seeing. We will miss her as she moves on to her Fall 2024 clinical experience at an Arlington ISD elementary school. Thank you to all of our wonderful patients and families who shared your sessions with Ms. Elise to help her learn, grow, and love the profession she chose! Thank you for supporting her and our clinic as we strive to develop excellence in our future Speech Language Pathologist! Every one of you played a critical role in helping us make this possible!

Those of you who personally know me, this is one of my current kickboxing instructors. She’s a warrior, and she’s fighting stage 4 breast cancer. She’s so kind to everyone she meets. She welcomed me into her class during a very low time in my life, and she has continued to be inspiring and strong. Her class was pivotal in my rise and healing from depression and helps me keep myself mentally strong and healthy week after week. Please help me in spreading her story and providing support. Meet our amazing young ladies who are running our daily operations at our “Speech Aquarium” therapy office! Ms. Gabby and Ms. Zahraa are amazingly intelligent, hard working, dedicated, sweet, kind, and so loving with our therapy patients!

A baby sea turtle’s 🐢 journey starts off with many struggles, once they reach their goal to make it to the sea, they swim freely and confidently. The sea turtle is our symbol of the therapy journey. Your communication and/or mealtime journeys might be a difficult struggle, and with the right support systems, you can meet your goals to experience the free flow of communication and eating with confidence!

Ms. Gabby and Ms. Zahraa are ready to help you get started on your journey to your open sea! Mrs. Tara, our Speech Language Pathologist (and owner), will provide you with the tools you need to successfully make it to your goals and live confidently throughout your life! I’m the owner of Speech Language & Learning Services. I am currently in need of a part time office assistant Tuesdays and Thursdays only from 1:30-8:30 pm. The job entails basic office tasks including: checking in patients when they arrive, answering the phone, sanitizing procedures for the items used in my therapy sessions, scheduling, and other basic computer tasks. This position would be great for a high school senior with early release or a college student whose class schedule accommodates these times.
