This is Our Story

Our little family eye business began when Dr. Glenn Boyd and his wife Jane, decided to open this office in Mansfield, Texas in 2004. We have had our own fair share of growing pains throughout the years and have established ourselves as one of the “go-to” Optometry locations in the city. Dr. Boyd was known for his fun and sometimes corny sense of humor as well as his love for this community and his staff.

Sadly Dr. Boyd passed away unexpectedly in May of 2018. With heavy hearts and the sense of loss over us, we needed to continue on, to grow, to fulfill our purpose, to remember our founder and leader by continuing to move forward and not just existing but thriving. We will continue to lead by the examples he set forth and show up everyday not just to our jobs, but to work with our families and to treat our patients as if they are also our family.

Dr. Boyd’s vision is being reflected around us at Boyd Eye Care. He would love it here, in the place he dreamed up. We miss him today, and every day.

His name, dream, and passion will continue to live on in the place that he built. We have to do him proud and continue to remain one of Mansfield, Texas premier Eye Care Clinics. We owe this not only to our founder but to this amazing community.
