When everything feels stirred up, we can settle—just like a snow globe.

Invite your child to draw or color a snow globe with the snow gently resting at the bottom. Inside the globe, they can write or illustrate what helps them feel calm. Cozy ideas like snuggling under a blanket, walking outside, or spending time with a pet are all welcome.

Every snow globe will look different—just like every child—and that’s what makes it beautiful.

This creative reflection builds awareness and gives children tools to find stillness, even when their thoughts or emotions feel like a swirling storm.

We’re honored to support your Spartans as they explore the foundations of focus, emotional awareness, and resilience through our Labyrinth Adventures curriculum.

From exploring the five senses and identifying emotions in the youngest learners, to learning how stress feels in the body and practicing calming strategies like Box Breath and Shark Breath—these are not just activities, they’re skills that last a lifetime.

Today we celebrate the legendary Dolly Parton—not just for her music, but for her unwavering commitment to childhood literacy through the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Her vision of sending free books to children from birth to age five has created ripple effects of empowerment across the world. With over 200 million books gifted globally, her work is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we invest in early learning and give every child the chance to discover their voice through reading.

Snow Day Activity!

Feelings can freeze up—just like ice. But with warmth and attention, they can melt.

🧊 Give your child an ice cube and invite them to imagine it holds a feeling inside.

As it begins to melt, ask:
💬 “What feeling would you like to thaw today?”
💬 “Where do you feel that feeling in your body?”
💬 “What helps that feeling melt—like sunshine on snow?”

This year, we leaned into our mission—supporting whole child development through the power of self-regulation and real-world strategies that work for teachers and students. Here's what we accomplished together in 2025:

Completed our full Kindergarten–1st Grade Curriculum
Revised and refreshed our Grades 2–3 Curriculum
Published an incredible 32 storybooks that teach kids how to regulate emotions and make thoughtful choices
Hosted book talks that sparked conversations across classrooms and communities
Shared our work at ManaFest, health fairs, book fairs, Peace on My Block, and even a little fun on Wacky Wednesday
Delivered in-school programs at Mansfield Public Schools and Buckeye Imagination Museum
Placed our storybooks in libraries across Ohio and Wisconsin
Supported hundreds of students and their teachers in building skills for calm, focus, and resilience

We’re grateful for every moment—and more ready than ever for what’s next.

On snow days, kids stay home—but big feelings, restless bodies, and unexpected schedule changes still show up. That’s why we’re launching a special series of playful, self-regulation activities for snowy days at home.

🌬️ Inspired by our school-based focus and regulation tools, these strategies help children build awareness, emotional wellness, and calm—without needing screens or complicated materials.

📍We’ll post new content anytime Mansfield City Schools (Ohio) announces a snow day—and we invite all families to follow along! These activities are great any day you or your child needs a moment of calm or connection.

Mind Body Align is your hub for mindfulness education. We transform lives through mindfulness. Mind Body Align’s training meets you wherever you are: in our beautiful facility, online at your convenience, or in your school or place of business. There is a mindfulness program that is perfect for every child and every adult.

Mindfulness teaches attention control, self-awareness, and emotion regulation. For many people, including children, mindfulness is the missing piece to social-emotional learning and is now a part of most required school curriculums. By targeting three key skills, attentional control, self-awareness, and emotion regulation, MBA’s MBAwareness Educational Program builds student self-regulation to a greater extent than social emotional programs alone. Self-regulation allows students to think clearly enough to choose a strategy they learned in their social and emotional learning curriculum. SEL teaches those skills, but students don't know how to pause in order to access them. We help them learn, and practice, allowing it to be a habit and a part of their regular behaviors.

MBA also serves professionals. People all over the world engage with MBA to learn from the wise individuals who share their mindful, wise thoughts on our blog, and join our workshops and programs.

It all comes back to mindfulness. Fitness, relationships, job advancement, job satisfaction, anxiety, focus, reducing or eliminating PTSD, dealing with trauma – all are improved with sustained mindfulness practice. Ask us about the many studies which show students learn more and test scores improved after mindfulness education; similarly, adults are more productive and satisfied in their work and home life.
