If you only have one conversation about your birth plan at 36 weeks... it might be too late.
And I say that with so much love.
A birth plan shouldn't be a surprise to your care provider.
It shouldn't be the first time they're hearing that you hope to avoid unnecessary interventions, use the tub, move freely in labor, push in different positions, or wait before induction.
Those conversations should happen much sooner during your 2nd trimester or even sooner!
Your birth plan should be the result of months of preparation and communication.
That's why in our online birth classes we are constantly giving you questions to discuss with your care provider and ideas of how to communicate your wishes, as well as what to do if you don't like the answers you are getting from your provider.
If you're currently working on your birth plan or will be in the future, our Birth Plan Blueprint is here to walk you through each step of writing your birth plan.
Comment BIRTH PLAN and we'll send it to you!
