As we are closing the Year of the Snake, it's time to detox. If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, drained, or like old patterns are resurfacing, this is not a setback. It is detoxification. The Snake tightens around past versions of you that will not survive in the new year. The Horse is coming. It's time to say goodbye to the snake. Today's class will focus on postures that detoxify: twists, backbends, and flows that promote sweating. See you at 4:30!

The temps are going to moderate this week. If you, like me, have been limiting your time outdoors because of the brutal cold, it's time to step outside for a bit. A regular winter walk outside adds rhythm to the day. It also disrupts rumination patterns (Who me? Ruminate??) and helps reduce stress. To cap off your day, an hour of gentle evening yoga fosters deep rest by breaking up tension patterns in the body. Come and practice this evening! And be well, my friends!

Your health affects everyone and everything you love — your family, your pets, your friends. When you're healthy, you have room in your life for care, love, and creativity. When you're healthy, the people you love don't have to worry about you or take care of you; they just get to enjoy you! And you, them! So, the next time you eat healthy, meditate, walk, do yoga, lift weights, think about them. Open your palms and give your practice away.
