I wanted to give IFC patients a heads-up that the practice will have some limited availability the week of April 17–24, so you know what to expect if you need to reach us.

Here's what's going on:

• Friday, April 17 through Friday, April 24 – Laiza will be on a well-deserved vacation, so things may feel a little quieter around here!

• Friday, April 17 – I'll be seeing patients in the morning, but will be out in the afternoon for the SAFE Coalition event.

• Monday, April 20 – The office is closed in observance of Patriots' Day/Marathon Monday. 🎉

• Tuesday, April 21 & Wednesday, April 22 – I will be in the office and seeing patients as usual.

• Thursday, April 23 & Friday, April 24 – I will be driving to Philadelphia for college visits with my son - I can be reached via Spruce, Elation, or office voicemail, and Dr. Garofalo will be covering for urgent issues.

If you have an urgent concern on a day the office is closed, please don't hesitate to call — I will be available by phone for urgent issues.

I do want to set the right expectations: responses to messages and calls may be a bit slower than you're used to during this stretch, but please know I will get back to you. Your care is always my priority, and I truly appreciate your patience.

If you have a non-urgent need, reaching out before April 17 or starting April 27 is a great option.

Heads up about open enrollment for Medicare and Marketplace insurance plans for 2026. If patients have questions about a plan change, please feel free to ask us!
For folks using the healthcare marketplace, ACA aka Obamacare, if you don’t have known high specialist or medication costs, a bronze or catastrophic plan plus DPC may be an excellent option especially this year!

This year, with Congress in a stalemate about subsidies, Affordable Care Act marketplace consumers will need to be more informed than ever to navigate their health coverage choices.
