🍁 Autumn Equinox 🍁
It’s that sacred time of balance between light and dark that comes twice a year.
A space of pause, of possibly, momentarily, finding an equilibrium in our lives, even for the briefest of moments.
At Autumn Equinox, there is equal day and night, and from here, the wheel of the world turns to a slowing down, a rest if you will, as the bountiful harvests are finishing and the soil is turned once more and we begin the preparation of sinking into winter’s hibernation embrace.
Although the Lower Sugarloaf Fire put a pause on our fully booked Autumn Equinox celebration and sound healing this past weekend. I’ve sat with and now put forth an invitation for your own mindful practices, if you feel called for simplicity and gentle practices for at home, or maybe even a deeper calling, look below for inspiration …
Allow the equinox to be the guide, inviting you into balance, to remember that pain, shadow and hardship are not punishments, but rather teachers.
To remember that the darkness is what gives rise for the light to shine ever brighter. This is what assists us in learning to live in harmony and purpose.
To not only hope for balance, but to live and practice from the heart through gratitude, devotion, discipline and most importantly, love.
🍂 Autumn Equinox Inspiration 🍂
🍁 Meditation + Journaling Prompts:
*Where am I at physically, emotionally, spiritually?*
*What shadows are asking for acknowledgement and healing?*
*Where do you possibly need more balance - work/rest, giving/receiving, inner/outer, etc?*
🍁 Make a Seasonal Altar or Simply Decorate: take a walk in nature, collect fallen leaves, pinecones, mindfully collecting/foraging in nature to decorate with your finds, bring beauty into your space.
🍁 Write a gratitude note or letter, keep it or send it!
🍁 Seasonal transitions can also feel a little smoother with massage (bookable via link in bio), yoga session or a hair appointment (both can be requested via email or text)
