2007 was a year of Great Promise. I finished my second residency, opened Marian Physical Therapy and most importantly our much awaited son arrived.
For 15 years I held on to my dream, not knowing where it would take us, for as long as my family was together.
I was proud of my accomplishments, but one thing that didn't make it complete was that my parents didn't get to physically see the clinic. I wanted to share it with them.
Unfortunately it never will happen. As of September 3, Marian Physical Therapy will permanently close. My family will move on to our next adventure.
As I close the doors of the building, I fight the urge to feel sad. My heart is instead full because each and every one of my patients said that we were able to help them and that we were a positive influence in their lives. That is more than what I have bargained for as I didn't know how the town would accept a simpleton like me.
Today I raise my head high knowing all of these, and not accepting defeat.
We thank everyone who trusted us and continue to trust that we would touch the lives of our future patients wherever life would take us.
I remain, a faithful servant of God and a follower of Mary.
