We cannot thank our community enough for the overwhelming generosity and attention to detail you showed in fulfilling our residents’ wish lists. Wow! Just wow!! 🥹

Our residents have always been part of our family, and we strive every year to make Christmas special—but this year truly exceeded anything we could have imagined. The smiles, the joy, and the abundance of love (and snacks!) meant more than words can express.

Sooooo much outpouring of love for our AFC family, some residents being “adopted” more then once. 🥹🎅🏻🎄
Everyone has been picked!! And more messages coming in, so I put together a simple, practical list of things our residents would truly enjoy this Christmas. They’re big kids at heart, and they love the little comforts — snacks, candy, pop, perfume, slippers, socks, board games, card games, and all the good-smelling stuff.

They may dream of TVs and game systems, but we never expect the big items. The small, thoughtful gifts mean the most.

If you’d like to put together a gift bag with any of these goodies, we’ll use them to brighten Christmas for any resident in need and fill in All the gaps!! Your kindness truly matters and does not go unnoticed ❤️🎄l

As many in our community have kindly requested, we are excited to share our residents’ Christmas wishes from Shepler’s AFC. While a few of our residents are fortunate to have actively involved family who visit often, many others have built deep and meaningful relationships with myself and our wonderful staff. Over time, they truly become part of our family.

It is our joy and tradition to make sure every resident feels loved and blessed during the holiday season. If you feel led to “adopt” a resident for Christmas, please know it would mean the world to them. They had so much fun creating their wish lists and posing for these photos.
