This Friday night was filled with a memorable dinner at Social Contract Supper Club and entertainment at Nucky’s speakeasy, complete with live music. 

The exceptional cuisine and outstanding service left a lasting impression. We were pleasantly surprised when a stranger paid for our dinner, and the complimentary sodas we received while enjoying the beautiful music downstairs added to the evening's delight.

The staff's support and accommodations for 2 people using motorized assisted devices throughout the night were truly commendable.

As the owners of DreamLife Destiny and avid foodies, we highly recommend this venue and anticipate our next visit.

It has been one week since the 2025 Disability Justice Jamboree concluded and we at ACT are still feeling the love. To everyone that attended, the hotel staff, the interpreters, the transcribers, the volunteers, and to everyone: Thank you. We are blown away.

What an empowering final day at the 2025 Disability Justice Jamboree! 🤩

Huge shoutout to the whole DreamLife Destiny crew—we had an incredible time learning, connecting, and celebrating. From deep dives into emotional intelligence to powerful conversations about community advocacy, we feel so energized and ready to take everything we learned back home to better support our community!

The joy and solidarity in that conference center were electric, especially cheering on our very own DreamLifer who gave a speech! Thank you to everyone who made this event so meaningful. We're already looking forward to the next one! 👋

We are absolutely thrilled to extend a huge congratulations to everyone involved in this year's ACT - Advocating Change Together Disability Justice Jamboree! As we conclude day two of the conference, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude and recognize some truly special individuals, alongside celebrating two incredible awards our organization received.

First, we want to highlight our very own Joan Decker. Joan, who has also volunteered her time with ACT, has dedicated years to outstanding advocacy in the disability community. We are incredibly proud to announce that she was honored with the prestigious Gloria Steinbring Leadership Award. Her dedication and leadership are an inspiration to us all.

Additionally, DreamLife Destiny was deeply honored to receive the Irving Martin Self Advocacy Award. We are truly humbled by this recognition, and it further motivates us in our mission to advocate for self-advocacy within the disability community.

A special shoutout to the entire ACT crew for once again organizing such an impactful and inspiring conference. Your efforts create an invaluable platform for change, and we are already looking forward to the next one!
