A Night Under the Stars: DreamLife Takes Over DeLaSalle!

What a night! Last week, our DreamLifers headed to DeLaSalle High School for their annual Starry Night Prom, and "magical" doesn't even begin to cover it.

From the moment we arrived, the energy was electric. Our clients traded their everyday wear for sequins, suits, and smiles, ready to own the dance floor. The DeLaSalle community truly rolled out the red carpet, creating an inclusive, high-energy, and beautiful space for adults with disabilities to celebrate in style.

We had some dance floor divas. Whether it was the Cupid Shuffle or just some classic freestyle, the music didn't stop and neither did we! The community spirit was alive and going. Huge thanks to the students and staff at DeLaSalle for being such incredible hosts and making every single guest feel like the guest of honor.

At DreamLife Destiny, we believe in more than just providing support—we believe in providing experiences. Prom night is a rite of passage, and seeing our clients build confidence, make new friends, and let loose is exactly why we do what we do.

DreamLife Destiny recently convened for its bi-monthly video game club. Members enjoyed competing in a Mario Kart tournament paired with pizza.

Individuals seeking friendships and sharing similar interests in video games are invited to join. The club features various gaming platforms including Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, PS5, Oculus, N64, GameCube, and computer games, ensuring members stay current with new releases and can engage in friendly competition and socialization.

What an extraordinary occasion it was to celebrate a DreamLifer's 80th birthday this past week.

The community came together last week to mark this milestone with her family, who traveled from afar to join in the festivities.

The evening unfolded with heartfelt stories, infectious laughter, lively music, and joyful dancing, complemented by a grand BBQ feast and, of course, cake and ice cream.

It's moments like these that underscore the beauty of our community coming together to celebrate life's special occasions, embracing each other's company and forging deeper connections.

Andie isn't just about the theory, though—they are a fierce advocate focused on connecting people with the vital resources they need to thrive.

The DreamLife Destiny crew had an absolute blast at the Reptile Expo this weekend! There’s nothing quite like seeing our DreamLifers explore the topics that fascinate them!

Whether it was a tiny gecko or a majestic python, the connection between our team, our clients, and these incredible creatures made for an unforgettable day of connection and discovery. We learned from the best in the business about reptile care and conservation. All while sharing laughs and "scales" with fellow enthusiasts.

Raya has been supporting individuals with disabilities and the elderly for over six years. She is looking to expand her career in working with building community and broader support with individuals with disabilities with perhaps becoming a therapist someday. She enjoys getting out in nature for walks, arts and crafts, sightseeing, being with friends and family, and journaling. Raya has fantastic energy for a variety of things and you'll have a great deal of fun with her!

Take me out to the ball game! Take me out to the crowd!

Today, as the Twins opened their 66th season here in MN, DreamLife kicks off our 3rd year of attending the season opener. We love taking DreamLifers to the ball park, and there is truly nothing like the energy of a fresh season at Target Field!

Watching the Twins take the field has become more than just a tradition for us—it’s about the smiles, the stadium snacks, and the incredible community we’ve built one inning at a time.

Whether it’s the thrill of a home run or just soaking up the sunshine with great company, these are the moments that define the DreamLife Destiny community. Even if sometimes the sun doesn’t make much of an appearance.

Why we love Game Day: The atmosphere, from the first pitch to the seventh-inning stretch, the vibes are unmatched. The connections, seeing our DreamLifers bond over a love for the game. And of course the tradition. Three years strong and we’re just getting started!

We gathered our DreamLife community last Friday to celebrate and award five of our amazing community members. Four DreamLifers were recognized individually for the work they’ve done in the community, through advocacy, or in putting in the hard work to better their own lives. Tears of joy were shed as the DreamLifers received their awards. In addition to the four DreamLifers, one Destiny Associate was recognized for his outstanding work and dedication to not only DreamLife Destiny as a company, but to each and every DreamLifer and associate with whom he worked.
