Residents took a guided tour of the James J. Hill House located in St. Paul, MN. James was a successful businessman in the railroad industry. Him and his wife, Mary, were the life of the parties in this 36,000+ square foot mansion 🤯 Thank you to our great tour guide and to the rest of the staff who made for a wonderful historical experience. 11 out of 10. Highly recommend 😄

The first ever Sonida Living In-State Battle Bake-Off 2026 is the books! The competition featured Rose Arbor Dining Director, Aayah and The Lodge at White Bear Dining Director, Dan! Each director made 2 desserts (1. Key Lime Pie-Aayah 2. Burbon Banana Pudding-Aayah 3. Carrot Cake-Dan 4. Canoli-Dan).

Rose Arbor residents tried each of the 4 desserts (one at a time together) and voted for their number one favorite (they did not know who made what). This Battle was close. The runner-up baker would have to do chores of choice from the winner at the winner's community. And that winner was Rose Arbor Dining Director, Aayah! 👸 Her key Lime Pie had edged out Dan's Carrot Cake as the overall favorite. The total votes were 13-8 in Aayah's favor. Both competitors were great sports and the residents were in dessert heaven 🤗 A win-win 🤝 We look foward to Dan cleaning some blinds for us 😄

This upcoming May, both Aayah and Dan will have a BBQ competition at The Lodge at White Bear. We look forward to going 2-0 😉

We had some interesting activities for the residents today! Many laughs were had and definitely brought out the competitive spirit 💪 The day was topped off by the coveted wheelchair/walker hallway relays! It came down to residents, Marlys and Anita. True grit. They were neck and neck. A photo finish. Too close to call.

Such a wonderful APRIL FOOLS day 🙌
